I purchased this for the pouch and stand, rather than the pipe. I would have like to give this a higher score, because it is a decent value for the price. However, the main reason I marked this down is because it is misleading. This pouch is not leather. It reeks of PVC. The outer “might” be leather, but the inside is without a doubt all vinyl. While I had no interest in the pipe, it was actually quite attractive. The tenon and mortise were not perfect, but they fit well enough to form a complete seal. Filters fit well. It has a nice thickness and weight. Not briar. Maybe pearwood or similar. The bag is velour, not flannel. There is nothing windproof about this pipe. However, the instructions did show a detachable pipe cover. This was not included, and there are no images of this on Amazon. I suspect the title might have been copied from another product that included the cover/wind cap. Honestly, I think this would make a good starter kit or travel set, and at a price that won’t hurt your feelings if it gets lost or broken. Had it been as described, I would have been less critical.

Very reasonable for the whole kit!

I haven't smoked a pipe in years and wanted to get this started kit after reading the reviews. Didn't want to invest too much up front without knowing if I would actually get back into pipe smoking. Product came in the the pipe actually looks nice and the stem fits snug. Accessories are basic and will serve the pipe well. Unfortunately, I had two quality control issues with the kit I found when getting everything set up. One was a defective zipper on the inside of the case and the other was a missing pipe reamer. Like other reviews have stayed, it doesn't come with a wind cover. Heading out of town so I'll just have to debate using it or returning it. Dang tobacco I bought smells really good so I'm probably doing the former.

The pipe itself i would gladly pay $40 for in a pipe shop. The bag isnt the best but it works perfectly fine. I had to cut out the straps since the pipe barely fit in it, but the tobacco pouch is great, the filters are great, the stand is a nice touch. The only “negative” is the cork didnt have the adhesive it said it does. But i gladly wouldve paid double for a set this quality. Oh, and i had to cut the pipe cleaners to be able to fit in the bag. But the pipe itself is worth more than $36, so really, its a steal

This is a really nice kit. The pouch is very soft, looks nice and classy. Lots of tools for the pipe smoker. The pipe is good quality. Hubby has used it and has no complaints. Great for travel and carrying all the accessories. I'm very pleased with the quality of this pouch and accessories and I recommend it.

I only bought it for the pouch, but when I received it and tried the pipe I was amazed. For a cheap pipe and yes it is cheap, It smokes good. I uses it in regular rotation with my other pipes. The clear finish did bubble alittle, but again it has surprised me. I have been using it for over 6 months now. And I will continue to use it.
