I purchased the soil moisture meter from this company as a Christmas gift for our 17-year-old daughter, who has a deep love for plants. To say that she loved the gift would be an understatement. She was genuinely surprised and excited because she didn't even know that such a device existed. Although she has only just started using the moisture meter, it has already made a positive impression. I have owned this device for one year. I have not experienced any significant issues The battery was replaced once and it was an easy task. The readings are accurate in all four metrics. I'd recommend calibration periodically. The report data is useful as the seasons change to ensure optimal growth. There is now 365 days of data for tracking and trending. A suggestion includes periodically opening the app from your phone to sync the data. I found once per week keeps the download from crashing. I deducted one star for difficulty with the device sync to the phone app on initial setup and after a battery change. Also, the phone app can trigger on some virus programs as a suspicious download. I quarantine and monitor the app through the virus software and haven't experienced any concerns. Great little device! Everyone thinks I have a green thumb, and I owe it to this little plant sensor.

If you have Home Assistant and BLE working, this product is awesome. The iPhone app is not bad but it would be nice to allow for historical graphs. The graphing capability for home assistant includes luminance, microsiemens per centimeter, moisture, and temperature.

Items received in shipping box wrapped in bubble warping. That is all that was in the shipping box, no instructions either, nor shipping information... nothing other than the product. First day I was able to load 2 of 2 with the desired plant information. Firmware update locked the app up and had to reboot my entire phone to get out of the app. Finally was able to get the app to work as it was intended.. by the end of the day it wanted to update the firmware again even though it had the right firmware. Day 2 i did not have time to mess with it. Day 3 lost synch with both devices. could not connect at all with the devices as the app could not find them. after messing with the devices i was able to get one to be recognize by the app and is working. other device can not be recognize, its as if the device is broke. app again wants to update when it does not need updated. It makes me wonder if this device does more then it should as it wants access to my entire phone. I have questions about its real intentions. I am going to be looking at other products as total replacement of the app and devices. Too many issues and to many un answered questions.

I’ve had this device for less than two months and the light sensor has stopped reporting. I really like the information gained from this device. Wish it would have lasted longer.

They’re doing a fantastic job

I bought three of these about a year ago, and forgot to change the batteries in them. They seem to get about 3 months of battery life, if you aren't syncing then constantly? They work great, though. Only issue with device is that I wish the Bluetooth range was longer. The app, though, could use some work. If you can get past the iffy English translations, it's mostly fine. You can't create your own plant, though, you have to select from the options and accept the light and water requirements it gives. And it goes by scientific name, but it does let you rename them now. Now I don't have to remember Occimum Basilicum is the basil section in my herb garden, I can just rename it Herb Garden. I just set up my newest one that I bought a month ago and left lying around - still super quick and easy to pair. It's difficult opening the back, but I'm okay with that considering I leave some of them outside in the PNW rains. It also doesn't alert you when things are dry, you have to check on it manually... Unless I'm missing something in the app.

I've only had these a few days but I love them. I'm hopeful for the sensor to work long term because they are great. Maybe too early to tell but so far so good.

Cero drama. Empezó a funcionar antes de que yo me diera cuenta. Apenas le quité la pestaña de plástico de la batería, Home Assistant ya me estaba alertando de un dispositivo nuevo. Venía con el firmware más actual. Solo tuve que activar el Bluetooth en el Shelly de la puerta principal, porque el Home Assistant está en otro cuarto. La integracion se llama Xiaomi BLE. Por otra parte, la app propia está muy bien hecha: te da los parámetros adecuados según el tipo de planta y creo que te alerta cuando algo anda mal. Toma en cuenta que al menos que tengas un hub xiaomi de Bluetooth o algo, vas a tener que estar *cerca* con el telefono para leer los valores (20 metros quizás)

No da mediciones precisas y la app no permite notificaciones a menos de que estes en China.
