BEST RUSSIAN TEA CUP with Podstakannik Glass Holder and Gold-Plated TEA INFUSER for Loose Tea LUXURY TEA SET

Ordered it as a gift for my grandma and she likes it. Packaging that the unit came in, was already opened, probably to add additional bubble wrap for better protection, and was re-sealed with regular office scotch tape - that left pretty bad first impression, especially for a "gift" item.

lt can be a little heavy to actually use but I still use it except after my tea or coffee has cold down a bit, I just take the cup out of the holder to drink. It's a very beautiful cup to look at and can be used as decoration or as a real cup.

Great product. It's well constructed, feels really sturdy and has a quality heaviness in the hands. The only drawback, and it's a minor one, is that the loose tea sometimes escapes not through the holes, but the area under the thumb tab where you press down to open the strainer. There's a small, yet wide enough gap where the hinges are. It could also likely be the tea I use, so no big deal really. I usually like my tea strong, which means I leave the strainer in my cup longer, but it doesn't get too hot to handle which is another advantage. I'd recommend this product to anyone who enjoys loose leaf tea. It gets the job done and looks uniquely great at the same time. Update, 9/26/2016: Sadly, it fell apart on me. I believe the heat over time from my teas had loosened up the components and it simply didn't want to hold together any more. First the thumb tab went, then one side of the actual strainer. I have therefore changed my previous star rating from 5/5 to 3/5. I realize things happen and the seller is not at fault. It was great while it lasted.

When my package arrived, was very upset because the box it came in had been broken and tapped back together making the $60.00 plus tea cup look cheap. As for the cup and tea strainer I have to say it was beautiful and made of good quality. It was way overpriced and have learned my lesson!!
