Battery works great; I needed my own tools
Worked perfectly on an old A1706. The tools it comes with didnt work with my laptop screws on the inside, but I had a separate set of tools that did fit the inside fasteners. Also you'll need some sort of credit card sized plastic piece to pry the glue away from the factory battery. Best to check youtube for removal and install instructions. Very happy with the battery!

Why wont you work?!
Maybe its supossed to work but it didnt. Ive done everythibg correctly but now it doesnt work and Ive tried everything and I do mean everything. Maybe I made a mistake but apparently it might have to do with the serialization on the battery? Down with the Apple industry and their gate keeping of means of repair for laptops.

Macbook Pro A1706 Battery Replacement
Good fit. Includes adhesive strips. Charged perfection, everything worked. Recommend using installation instructions at iFixit.com. Detailed instructions include 100 steps.

Worked for a week. Now dead.
Battery worked for a week. Now computer wont even turn on, unless I disconnect the battery, and just keep the charging cable plugged into the wall. Very disappointed they won’t let me return it. UPDATE: they gave a full refund and I have updated the rating from the initial 1 star to better reflect the customer service.

Doesn’t include all required equipment for battery replacement
No instructions to replace the battery are included. I had to go to YouTube. Also, I had to purchase a blow drier and isopropyl alcohol to disassemble the old battery. And had to use a toilet plunger to remove the back cover of the laptop. It is a lot cheaper than the other options, so that’s why. Hopefully the battery works well.

Almost burned up my MacBook (literally)...
Lasted a year with no problems, then started causing strange overheating symptoms. When the Mac was in sleep mode - the battery would overheat to the point that the case was too hot to touch. Fortunately, the machine went into help-preservation mode and at least the processor and motherboard survived - but I had to run a fan on the laptop to cool it down before it would power up again. Disconnecting the battery and running off wall power ended the problem, so the battery is clearly the culprit.
