I am using this to operate 5 POE IP cameras and one network bridge. Although I've only been using it for a day so far, it's working fine. I had an SG1008PE for a couple of years and in the last few weeks it was not able to keep up with the load. Cameras were dropping off and coming back on periodically. Since I replaced that switch with this new one, I have not had any issues. I don't expect my switches to work forever as I have them installed in the attic and I live in a hot environment. My attic is routinely 120 degrees or more in the summertime.

Purchased for poe capability and performance is great! Have six active poe ports and one simple switch port in use. Switch and power supply are cool to the touch. Glad to see the switch is not hot. With the good running temperature we feel comfortable the switch will have an extended operational life like our other TPLINK equipment.

Bought this switch for its overall power capability and 8 POE+ ports. 30w per port and 124w total power is great for my needs. Total power is what matters for some applications, not just max per port. The TP-Link 8-Port 10/100Mbps + 3-Port Gigabit Desktop Unmanaged Switch with 8 PoE+ Ports simply works great!

Fair price and specs. My switch’s power adapter doesn’t seem to fit properly. Slides out with nearly no resistance. Very worrisome, since this switch would support my surveillance cameras.
