Earth Friendly and the Cats Like It
This litter is the best I have tried for my cats. I have two cats and they both use this litter and do not go outside the box. It clumps well and I don't find any bad smell from the litter itself at all. What I really like is that it is earth friendly. I even had a box spill open once, I put some I cleaned up from that spill in the woods behind the house and the wild turkeys found it and ate it! Not that I recommend feeding wildlife with it lol, but it shows what it is made of opposed to clay or other stuff out there. Try it out and see if it works for you.

Miracle odor reducer.
I have a lovely little kitten that uses the bathroom A LOT. I am surprised that a little kitten not a year old can throw down in the litter box so much. What is worse is that she has smelly waste. I thought she may be having health issues, but she was checked out, and is fine. She eats and is super active and curious so she is just a stinky pooper. In trying to control the odor I tried several solutions to figure out something that would work for both her and me. I tried the crystal type litters, which work fine for urine odor control but not for feces, and she did not like to use that kind as it would not cover the poop well enough for her. I then went to the Breeze litter system, which again was fine for urine but even worse for solid waste. I started using the regular clumping litter, but for some reason my kitten started to flick the litter out of the litter box and then scoop water out of her bowl to apparently create her own beach! Needless to say it would turn into one filthy foul mess and then she would climb to the top of her cage and howl until I cleaned it up. The Breeze was next to the easiest thing that I tried, so I then decided to switch the litter to the Feline Pine on recommendation. The Feline Pine worked better with solid waste odor but still did not do as well as I would have liked, plus it did not work as well with the Breeze system as I was led to believe. I got a new litterbox with high sides and then also got this litter after looking for something specifically for odor control. I was very skeptical of the rave reviews here. This litter is supposed to be clumping and then also made of corn husks. It is also low dust and chemical free, and given the fact that I had tried scented litter and failed, I did not believe that this litter would be able to do anything to help. But there were so man people praising it I decided to give it a try. I don't know how they did it, but they did it. I got the Multi-Cat version of this litter because I was desperate for a solution, but I have only one cat. A day later after using this litter, I walked by my cat's home and realized that I could not smell her waste. I was shocked. I could not believe that it was able to get rid of the smell without fragrances. What was more surprising is that it does clump, and it clumps well! It has made my litter cleaning a lot easier. My kitten and I are both very happy with this and I give it two thumbs up, plus two paws from my kitten.

Great litter
This is my favorite litter so far. Natural and safe incase you have one that eats it occasionally like I do. It clumps wonderfully and is pretty low dust. Secret is sprinkling some baking soda in weekly when you add more litter. Helps loads towards the clumping and it doesn't smell much. Gets a bit of a smell if you don't clean it once a day at least but if you clean it daily and sprinkle the baking soda weekly I don't smell a thing with two cats only if I forget a day. Way better than the supposedly low dust clays I used to use. Clumps as well or better than the clay buy the clay used to leave a fine grey dust over my Entire room where the boxes are kept and everything in it. Hated that. This one has hardly any dust. Costs a bit but worth it to me to not have to wipe clay dust off a whole room several times a week or worry about my dumb orange boy getting an impaction eating it.

I’m torn about this litter
I’m torn on what review to give this litter. On one hand I love that it’s biodegradable & that’s it’s made of wheat!! Those are two fantastic points! So on those two things I give it 5 stars for sure. However, the price with this litter (& all kitty litter honestly) is OUTRAGEOUS!!!!! Also, this litter claims to be 99% dust free & to not smell. Both of these claims are false. It’s a little less dusty than regular clumping litter but certainly not dust free!! The litter smells after it’s been in there for a small amount of time. It definitely didn’t preform as well as I had hoped with smell. So on dust & smell category it gets 3 stars. Price is 1 star. And if you’re thinking this litter will be lighter & easier to lift—you’d be mistaken!! But then, only the lightweight litter isn’t heavy. One thing that the litter didn’t really tout was how well it clumps….but it’s by far the best clumping litter I’ve used!! 5 stars on clumping ability!! I do also want to note though that I have a 6 yr old female who has urinary issues (that developed due to the added minerals in store bought kibble & she is also a little high strung). So she used the litter box with this litter just fine at first (probably about 3 weeks or so) but then even after I had emptied the entire container & filled with all new litter, she rejected the litter box & wouldn’t use it at all. So I had to stop using it all together. I do love that they came up with a more environmentally conscious alternative & I would love to see this company stay in business. So definitely give this litter a chance because what didn’t work for my household may work for yours!!

I Love This Cat Litter!
I really love this cat litter! I first began purchasing it just over 7 years ago. My 2 cats turned 8 years old back in March. I got my cats through an adoption program through Petsmart. Before I left the store with my cats in tow, I grabbed a bag of clay cat litter, canned food, and wet food and took them home. At that time, it had been about 13 years since I'd last owned a cat, so I didn't give cat litter much thought. I don't remember what brand the clay litter was, but I do remember it was perfumed. It was a turn-off to me, and I wondered if my cats would be offended by the fragrance and refuse to use the litter box. Fortunately, they weren't put-off. But after about 6 weeks of using the clay, I thought there had to be a better litter product out there. Clumping clay litter was a better product then what I was using 13 years prior, but I still hated having to bag up the little "gifts" my cats would deposit because you can't flush clay. Certainly by now there had to be a scoopable, flushable litter available. I started researching online. I came across an article that stated the following "None of us would ever intentionally cause our cat harm. But many people don’t realize that something as simple as cat litter contains many hidden dangers – to your cat and to you. Litters that contain perfumes as odor control can irritate cats’ eyes and aggravate allergies. But that’s just the start. Popular among many cat owners, some clumping litters can be downright dangerous to cats. Many litters contain a compound known as sodium bentonite as the clumping agent, which expands to 15 to 18 times its dry size when wet. Cats lick their paws, especially after being in the litter box, and can get internal blockages from the dust alone. Many cats and kittens eat litter. This can have deadly consequences as the litter swells in the intestines, especially in kittens. If you use litter with sodium bentonite and your cat experiences constipation, muscle weakness or lethargy, get them to a vet ASAP. Ever worried as you pour litter into the litter box if that dust swirling up is harmful? Many cat litters contain quartz silica. Silica dust is a known carcinogen, which can cause respiratory problems, some as serious as lung cancer, in your cat. Although there are no known studies on the effect of silica dust from cat litter on humans, many guess it could very well have the same effect on us. So what’s a cat owner to do? Look for a cat litter made from wheat, newspaper or corn, which is free of dyes or perfumes and does not contain silica or sodium bentonite". Wow! After reading that article I determined to replace the clay litter with a wheat litter. That's how I began using sWheat Scoop Multi-Cat litter. It’s silica free, naturally clumping, biodegradable, flushable and contains no perfumes. When it is time to scoop the box I just use my foot to move it up to the toilet (litter box is in the bathroom), scoop, and flush! Couldn't be easier! sWheat Scoop is more expensive than the clay litters, but the decreased health risk to my cats and the convenience for me make it well worth it. An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.

Whatever happened to the Swheatscoop as I knew it? No odor/ammonia buildup control this time!
I usually avoid writing negative reviews about a company or product, and I rarely write any reviews at all. I am, however, making an exception in this case, in hopes it will be used as a constructive criticism and learning experience for the company itself. Perhaps this was just part of a defective lot of substandard litter that failed quality control, and mistakenly hit the market. Whatever the reason, the bottom line is, from the very get go, this bag of litter proved to be a torture to my nostrils!!!!! I am an experienced cat mom, with decades of multiple kitties under my care. I had many people come to my house over the years, and compliment me for how clean my house is, and how I managed to keep it from smelling like a "cat-lady house" in spite of multiple cats! I have been using corn and wheat litter for years now. I never bother if it's expensive or cheap, as long as it does the job. I like to try different brands, and this one attracted me after seeing it at a friend's house. But again, she was using the original version, so I want to be fair and clear in that regard. I followed the user guidelines to a T, in hopes to fix the problem, all to no avail. The unrelenting stench overpowered my entire apartment like never before! I clean the cat boxes religiously, I add fresh litter every time I scoop the litter. This time I went above and beyond my already diligent standards, as soon as I noticed the strong and unpleasant smell, and still, I got tortured non stop by what proved to be a very crappy product! Since I stay home a lot, I can clean the boxes pretty much every time I hear one of my 2 kitties use it. I am beyond diligent about cleaning/washing the boxes, and still, from the get go, my entire house stank of ammonia like some evil lab scientist would have after a failed chemical experiment! The litter itself, even after the freshly added, reeked with the fumey odor of urine/ammonia! An absolute nightmare!!!! I woke up nauseated!!!! Every time I opened the door to my house I was greeted with an overwhelming stench! Whatever "enzymes" are supposed to be present to control the odor, and do whatever they are supposed to do, are missing from the bag I purchased! I understand that some people mistakenly expect cat litter to perform miracles, even if they go for days without cleaning the cat box. I could understand if it had become super stinky after a couple of days of neglect, but this is absolutely not the case, and that is why it bothers me so much that I decided to write this review!! As I said before, I purchased this brand of litter after noticing it at a friend's house. I was pleasantly surprised on how it had hardly any dust, and an excellent odor control. To be fair, hers was the original version, not the multi cat version, since she only has one kitty. So it could still be the case that it is still a good product in that particular version. Since I have 2 cats, I decided to get this multi cat version, also because of so many positive reviews. I really wish to emphasize, just to be fair to the manufacturing company, that her version was the traditional one, and not the multi cat as the one I bought, so this might be a problem exclusive to this multi cat version, or perhaps this particular bag was defective. I will get another bag of the regular version as my friend has and give it a try. Hopefully it will be different. She still likes it, and hopefully so will I. I may come back and edit/update this review in the future, but at least for now I wouldn't recommend this product to anyone and I describe it as the Swheatscoop of torture!

Buy it!
Love this cat litter. It clumps, I can flush it, and do not notice an order from cat pee.

Decent, but I expected better.
Honestly, I expected better. I have been testing litters to see which I like best. I saw this ones clumping capability advertised & thought great! However, it doesn't clump urine like advertised. It's mushy & gross at best. It smells highly of ammonia quickly, so that part is good. Tracking is better than the last litter I tried, but I think I'm going to go back to the last litter I used because it was way better in my opinion. However, insanely overpriced (sustainably yours). The best qualities about this litter is the size of the bag. I'm very happy with the size to price ratio. I just wish it worked better. I have 1 singular kitten & personally wouldn't recommend it, especially for multiple cats. But I do think I'll keep using it for my rats. They seem to do well with it.
