Nice cast iron unit and well seasoned. Does the job.

I got the rectangular version as a gif few years ago. It's heavy, does not rust, and just works. But while it works wonder on the flattop, it's not great for 10'' skillet. I purchased the round version recently and it's match in heaven with 10'' cast iron skillet. It matches perfectly and truly presses like a champ (4 pounds wonder, no need to press), because its almost edge to edge you will also end up with less oil all ver the stove

This nifty little tool has been a game-changer for me! I use it every day for something or the other—grilled cheese sandwiches, making tortillas on a flat iron pan, flatbreads, naan, and Indian roti/chapatis. It’s also great for warming burger patties. I never realized how much I needed it until I owned it!

I wanted a smooth bottom round bacon press that was heavy and similar to the rectangular Finex presses in weight to match my Finex skillet and 12" grill, but for a fraction of the cost (its just a press after all). This thing weighs 4 lbs, and is one of heaviest inexpensive presses on the market. This has the spring stay cool handle that is welded on. I seasoned it one time in the oven with grape seed oil and then assembled the handle and chrome bits with food grade synthetic grease. It is ready now for years of service and will fit the pan and grill I have and the Finex 10" I see in in my future. Thanks for making a good product that is very heavy and usable at such a good price.

we will see how it lasts but built like it should....for those who pick it up sideways and handle flexes, just dont! pick it up vertically and you are fine and perhaps use a mitt cuz iron on a grill is hot.

Easy to clean with a great pre-seasoning. I find it works great in a pan on the stovetop (gas, electric, or induction) Consistent thickness of material provides great heat distribution. The coil handle means it is is able to be used on the grill and campfires. I only have a couple pieces of cast iron that are not Cuisinel. Over the last year I have replaced all of my other pieces with Cuisinel. If Cuisinel decides to make a 2-N-1 9X13 and a double breadloaf pan set, I will be replacing those as well.

We use this for steaks and smashburgers and I like this one (that is meant for bacon). It is a larger diameter but still a great size for quarter pound smashburgers. We bought it along with a new cast iron griddle and are really enjoying it. Good weight - not to light or heavy. Easy to wipe clean and pre-seasoned. I am giving carnivore a whirl so this is getting lots of use. Recommend.

This is not only a thing of beauty but it works fantastic. As soon as this arrived I seasoned it (rubbed extra virgin olive oil all over both sides) and let it sit overnight…then I used it. It weighs 4 pounds as stated and comes with extra parts. I can’t sing enough praises. I am going to let all my friends and family know about this immediately in case it sells out.

I bought this to use on my cast iron skillet works great for smashed burgers grilled cheese anything you need weight on to help cook and it makes your food cook quicker very heavy I'm very satisfied with my purchase recommend it to anyone who is looking for a Smashburger press
