Nicely made, reliable USB-C hub with nearly every socket you would want for an affordable price
I have tried other cheaper brands of USB-C hub and although they were cheaper they were poorly made or didnt work as promised and were tempremental. This hub works great, its nicely made and works as promised with plenty of connections to suit even a demanding user. I have mine wired up and using the below perfectly: 1x Display port 34" 1440p monitor 1x HDMI port 27" 4K monitor 1x Wireless Keyboard & Mouse (Via single USB-A socket) 1x Wireless Plantronics headset 1x Logitech Webcam 1x USB-C laptop power supply My advice would be to not go too cheap when buying USB-C hubs as you get what you pay for, Anker makes nice products.

Versatile mid-range port dock/expander (with cable connection) for Macbook.
This is a mid-range port dock/expander designed for Macbooks which might also work on other models of Laptop. I found it to be "plug and play" when used with my Macbook. I liked that it has HDMI and display ports, plus SD and micro SD card slots. It also has one fast and two slower USB-A ports. These are intended for external storage, keyboard and mouse, but can have other uses. I liked that it connects to the Macbook via a short attched cable and USB-C plug. It does not obstruct any of the other ports on the Macbook, unlike some other dock devices. (Although this is not as neat)

Perfect.
The most comprehensive USB hub I could find in this price range (that's actually good). I tried a few lower priced ones that worked fine but seemed to have issues where they glitched and ejected my SSD's... This is the first good, solid hob that works perfectly and has access to all the ports i need (multi USB, PD and access do SD/TF slots) The perfect combo and it's works right out the box. Great bit of kit!

Sturdy
Sturdy, works well and looks good. Compared to other ports of same budget this one has lasted far longer and still going

A good investment
Well built and good connection options from PD, USB-C, Ethernet. Ideal for expanding the ports on my MacBook Pro.

Unreliable. Have to unplug and replug different wires all the time.
It does the job it's supposed to, for the most part. However, the ports all seem to be unreliable. About once per week I have to unplug the HDMI lead or the dock entirely, then plug the HDMI back into the dock, and the dock back into the PC. Now the audio pass-through seems to have completely broken today, prompting this review. Could I expect more for more money? Probably not since more expensive docks just focus on new features... honestly would have hoped for better consistency / reliability from Anker. Unplugging and replugging is a huge PITA the way my home office is set up to hide wires.

Expensive and less user friendly than other Anker adaptors but with additional connectivity.
Does what it says on the tin. The main let downs (for me) are that a) a the connection cable is pretty rigid so you need a fair amount of room to allow it to sit comfortably to one side of a laptop and b) having all the connections pointing out from around the rim increases the footprint further and is less stable than having them point upwards c) there's no circuit breaker button as there is on other Anker USB hubs so you have to physically unplug it whenever you switch off the computer to stop it drawing power (which is going to increase wear and tear unnecessarily). I mainly use it for connecting midi controllers and they flash constantly unless power is properly severed. They just keep drawing off the battery otherwise. I mainly got it because it has a an HDMI socket - the one in the actual MacBook Pro is too loose to be trustworthy in a gig situation (well done Apple!). On the whole I prefer the earlier USB A socket powered version. If it wasn't for needing an HDMI I'd use that instead with a USB C adaptor. Other than my phone I don't think I own anything that connects via USB C.

Good amount of ports
Got this one to replace my old one from Satechi. Great quality and work as intended. I can connect all peripherals I have without problems.
