Exactly what I needed. Worked without issue.

I bought this attempting to use an optical audio out to 3.5mm on an Amazon Echo and the adapter never fully set into the port and the sound would not work. I tested the adapter with other devices and cables with no success. Luckily these weren’t too expensive.

The product is fine; when it’s not damaged. The packaging was too poor to protect the parts inside. It also looks as if I was sent someone else’s return. I only needed 2 of the 3, so the third one being damaged doesn’t matter to me; especially since this was only $8. I’m already using the other one (thus, only 2 in the photo.)

I have an older optical to 3.5mm jack that I used to connect my Sound bar to my TV. I recently bought an Bluetooth Transmitter so I could watch TV at night on my earbuds. I did not want to disconnect and reconnect between the Sound bar and Transmitter by pulling out the optical end. So I bought these. But they did not work with either the Transmitter or the Sound bar.
