IF YOU ARE BUYING TO CHECK FOR LEAKS: This works well. Gives peace of mind every time I use the grill that there are no leaks. This might be worth buying it just for that purpose. IF YOU ARE BUYING TO MONITOR PROPANE LEVEL: This works OK as a warning when your propane is very low; it does not give an accurate measure of the level in the tank (in other words, it's not like a vehicle fuel gauge). If you remember to check it each time you grill (after grilling, but while the burners are still on), it should give you a pretty good idea of whether you need to refill before grilling again. Rather than investing $10-15 into this product, you might want to just put that money toward a backup propane tank. It's pretty obvious when you run out of propane (the grill doesn't work, you don't smell the odor of propane, and the tank feels considerably lighter than a full tank), and if you have a backup you can just swap them out when your tank runs out. If you exchange tanks (rather than refilling them), this will save you money in the long run because you will get the use of 100% of the propane you paid for rather than losing some when exchanging a not-quite-empty tank. (This is slightly off-topic advice, but refilling instead of exchanging will save you a lot of money over the long-run.)

This gas gauge works very well. It gives me peace of mind in knowing that I have enough gas left to grill whatever I am grilling. Note though that temperature effects your gas pressure. This gauge might read in the yellow or near red when it's freezing out in the winter (yes I do grill in the winter when there's no snow). But when the heat of the summer comes, the gauge will read strongly in the green. I know to replace my gas tank only when the gauge approaches red when it's warm out.

This is good to have on your propane tank

Did not work out of the box. Attempted a return only to learn it is not returnable. I was referred to manufacturer support. Edit: I contacted manufacturer and received a replacement. According to the manufacturer of my generator, this product will not allow proper flow to the generator. It runs for a few minutes and shuts off. Probably ok for other applications, YMMV Contacted manufacturer, they will not refund only replace defective parts. It was stated that this gauge may be incompatible with some propane devices due to an integrated "excess flow check valve". I haven't received a replacement as of yet, I will update after it arrives.

Lo compré en aproximadamente $300 porque tenía la caja abierta, al parecer lo compraron por error. El indicador viene para adaptarse a rosca externa que tienen solo algunos tanques de gas pequeños y que suele verse en asadores de conexión de EUA. Si tu tanque de gas no es compatible, hay una versión para conectar con rosca interna al tanque de gas. La mayor ventaja es que la salida del indicador trae los dos tipos de rosca, así que pude conectarlo sin problema con mi instalación de gas.
