This pencil is much better than I expected.
A lot of the reviews claim that this pencil's magnetic adjuster gets in the way of holding the pencil, but honestly, as soon as you tighten the head, you can then move the ring all the way up near the top, where it'll stay out of your grip. The pencil lead also doesn't snap at all, and even if you tighten it a lot, the lead still doesn't break or anything. The design is beautifully sleek and looks absolutely amazing in my hand, with a very smooth finish and a lovely, shimmering color. Such an elegant and wonderful pencil! It's very easy to adjust the length of the protruding lead, and the general thickness makes it something close to impossible to break. However, despite the lead looking horrifyingly dull, the sharpener works quite well, despite its absolutely minute size. Online, the anti-roll ring only looked like a measly metal washer, but it already saved me at least twice of cracking open the pencil. The general quality is great, and it's very robust and durable. This product works like magic and I absolutely recommend it to everyone out there looking for a great mechanical pencil. Absolutely worth its price, as it also contains a twelve-piece refill and a small velvet bag, along with the sharpener, and anti-roll washer thing. I highly recommend it, and in fact, I think I'll get a second.

Love it!
I love this thing. What's wonderful about it is its quirkiness but it also works! Intead of a clicker or a turning mechanism it uses an external magnetic ring to push the lead, which is attached to its own magnetic holder internally. It is beautifully engineered, feels great in the hand, comes in a nifty metal box, and includes a second magnetic ring, a cute little sharpener, 12 extra leads in their own plastic box, and a pin (a sim card removal tool) to push the lead out of the internal magnet. Takes a little experimentation to figure out, which is also fun, and is a pleasure to use.

Nice pencil with just a few minor issues
This is a pretty cool pencil. There are a few issues that you want to be aware of but as a whole it is well built and comes with a nice selection of accesories. This isnt a typical click and write type mechanism. You have to lossen the tip and then slid the lead down with the metal ring (the lead is held in a ho,der attached to a magnet). Then you tighten the tip and you can then move the ring back to the top of the pencil where it is held with another magnet. The jaw that grips the lead is brass and work ok as long as you dont jam the lead down hard (i measured the weight and it takes just shy of 15 lbs of force to get the lead to slip back into the pencil) I did have the lead break a few times when I went to put the lead back up into the holder (this may have been my error as I might of had too much lead sticking out) . I also had trouble removing the old lead from the holder (it fits very very tight) and I broke a lead trying to replace it. You will waste about half an inch of lead at the end as this wont feed down all the way. Not a big deal just a heads up. The included lead is ok. Not the best but not real scratchy. It is a bit crummy if your shading with it. The lead pointed works pretty good and is so compact that it fits easily in a pencil box or bag. The extra ring (supposed to prevent the pencil from rolling off the desk) works ok but really doesnt preveent roll aways. All the pieces are machined well and the overall body is thick and durable. The pencil is a bit thinner than I like (about the diameter of a standard wood case pencil). And the body is some what slippery so getting a good grip can be a challange with sweaty hands. The anodizing seems well done and despite my flipping the rings up and down a few million times is still in good shape (except on the edge of the cap where the rings clunk hard everytime I flip) Overall i like the pencil and I got it on a lighting deal so I was pleased. Love the thicker lead for worki g on soduko books.

Don’t lose the ring magnet!
Over the pencil is amazing. It writes nice, the feel of it is as well, and drawing with it is smooth. If I have to be brutally honest, as cool as it is to use a magnetic ring to control the lead, it sometimes gets annoying. You’ll have to unscrew the top and adjust accordingly to how long you want your lead length to be and tighten the top again. When you’re done using the pencil you’ll have to do the same thing but in reverse. Or you could just leave the lead out but the lead could brake. Which leads to you doing the same thing again but adding another step of sharpening your lead. But I’m a patient person that likes to draw and the quality and durability of this pencil is amazing giving me full control of the length of my lead to draw or write. I would recommend this pencil but please consider the drawbacks! Happy drawing or writing!

It's Strictly A Novelty But A Nice One
I bought this on Prime Day for less than $8 just to try it. Admittedly I'm easily entertained, have too much money according to my ex-wife, and it's really hot outside so I needed something to play with. I certainly got my moneys worth. The design is unique I believe. I have dozens if not hundreds of mechanical pencils but none that use a magnetic mechanism. Overall it's well designed and functions the way it was intended. The end cap and nose cone are 0.25MM larger than the barrel so the adjusting ring(s) can't slip off. The additional magnet in the top cap holds the rings up away from where one grips the pencil so they're not in the way when the lead gets short. It is fun to fiddle with and anyone who is into mechanical pencils should certainly have one in their collection. Even the cute little sharpener is functional and it's interesting to see the lead get sharpened through the magnifying glass. As far as functionality goes, what were they thinking? With the 0.7mm version they claim "Continuous Writing Without Pressing". Technically that's true but some how simply pushing the knock on a Faber-Castell to let out a little more lead seems so much easier than unscrewing the nose piece, sliding a magnet around and then re-tightening. By the way, you get to do the unscrew-slide-screw twice if you want to sharpen it. The anodized aluminum body is slicker than greased owl poop so it requires a constant death grip. I don't have an EDC and never will, but if I did this thing certainly wouldn't be in it. It won't even be on a desk or in a drawer. But, I got my $8 worth in entertainment value plus a dozen 2B leads which, if they're good, is worth another $8. It will go back in the box from whence it cometh along with a note that says "Here ya go Bitch", put it in the attic, and when I go to my reward my daughter can give it to her mother.

Really cool
My brother told me about this pencil the other day and I was curious. He uses it for building, mainly carpentry and said it’s genius. I am going to use it for art mainly and I was pleasantly surprised because considering it’s mechanical, my expectations were based on every other mech. Pencil I’ve used, and I’ve tried a few. The graphite is strong but not to dark or to light. Writes very smooth and easy to hold. I may add a cushion to it but I love how sturdy it is. The magnet feature is just an added bonus. My brother says he’s never had to extract more lead according to the instructions, that somehow it just continually gives. Looking forward to testing that part. Overall it’s a great find and I highly recommend giving it a try.

Favorite writing utensil ever
Love love love! It writes well and smoothly. It come with refill lead and a sharpener, and it just looks really cool. I like that you control the lead with a magnet and that the lead isn't super thin like a regular mechanical pencil. I got the blue one and I think I'm going to get the other colors as well. My only (tiny) gripe is that it came with everything including a pouch to store it in, but there is no eraser. Even so, well worth the money!

Not worth the money, and this is a full description why.
I bought this pencil and 2 weeks in it breaks by way of the lead not coming out. Once I opened the pencil up I noticed one of the prongs that is used to hold the lead in place is pushed inward preventing the lead from pushing out. I gently pushed the prong out slightly and it broke. The problem with design of this pencil is the cap is used to hold the lead in place, as it’s tightened it tightens the hold of the prongs on the lead by closing as the tip is screwed onto the barrel of the pencil. Over time the prongs will loosen, as metal does when you bend it back and forth and one or more of the prongs will break and once they do the pencil is useless other than being used as a fidget toy. Second the mechanics used to hold the lead it self will only hold the lead of this manufacturer, other 2mm leads are too skinny and fall out of the holster even though you need the key to open the holster to replace the lead. Once the mechanics have come to the lowest point of the barrel you still have 1 1/4 inch of unusable lead (unusable for the fact that once your lead is this long it won’t reach past the metal tip of the pencil) left unless you use another lead holder to be ABLE to use the remaining lead. Issues I personally experienced. The tip does not stay tight, it comes loose easily and when it does your lead will travel back up the barrel of the pencil again being unusable. The problem again being the prongs, once they are loosed from the back and forth bending they won’t stay in place to hold the cap of the pencil tight enough to properly contain the lead. I draw a lot and prefer old fashion note writing to phone notes so I get decent use out of my pencils. This one didn’t last long enough to get a good idea of how it would work long term, short term the accuracy is loose (the loosening prongs!!!). The idea is very cool, but needs fine tuning to be a decent product.
