Barrel stove air blower cuts boil time in half!
So, I originally ordered two of these fans. One to use as an exhaust fan for my welding area and another for a project to be named later. As often happens, my original project waits to be completed but did I ever find an incredible use for the spare blower. A friend reached out and asked me if I could weld a new fire grill for her barrel stove. I said sure and also asked if she’d be interested in a blower motor to increase the burn rate of her wood. Aka: make the fire hotter. She was excited by that possibility so I took the motor and controller along with me. A little cutting and welding later and she has a turbo injected barrel stove. 190 cfm through 3” metal ducting seems perfect. 24” off the back of the stove and the fan doesn’t heat up at all. Great product!!! Metal squirrel cage not plastic! Super quiet! Can’t say enough good things.

Average performance.
Before installing, I discovered that the fan leaked air around center seam and around the wiring block. Had to tape seal those areasThe fan also has more vibration than expected. Likely cavitation or balance issue.Installed in a ventilation capacity for a small project space.Works well enough for my application and was economical.Wouldn’t recommend for use in a concealed space or when quiet, vibration free ventilation is desired.

Kitchen Aid Mixer too fast? Get one of these!!
I saw a recommendation for this on a Kitchen Aid Mixer video. I don't want to tinker around in my stand mixer, but I want to lower the speed for some baking projects. The actual lowest speed is still to fast for many dry goods mixes, so I got this power regulator in the hopes that it would help. I tried it and immediately loved it!! I will use it from now on!

Don't listen to the naysayers
I purchased the 6 inch x 12 inch filter with the fan and ducting combo. It's 440 cfm (or something along those lines). Even at full blast the sound is no louder than one of those fans that sit on the floor made of metal and a bar to help it stand up. The sound is zero issue. Now to address the rumor that the controller doesn't actually work and doesn't slow the fan speed down/or raise it up..that's false. I simply plugged it in and all 3 modes work perfectly. Even on medium you can barely hear it. I have mine set to only turn on a couple times an hour - but you can run this 24/7 in the open - in any room. The fan fits perfectly on top of the filter, which is my favorite type of carbon filter setup. I don't like using ducting I like having them pull directly through the filter. This is perfect for anyone who is looking for a fair priced setup. Will update after a couple months of use.

Great Airflow!
I chose this unit over the smaller diameter after reading reviews. The 6" unit moves a huge amount of air and is extremely quiet. Specifacations say it is measured at 35 decibles but it may be quieter. This was purchased to make a fume extractor for welding with the doors down in the garage during cold weather. Previously, I would have a headache and a metallic taste in my mouth even when wearing an N95 mask under the helmet after welding with the doors down in the winter. This unit more than handles the extraction of hamful fumes preventing headache and allowing me to complete welding task on my car and shop builds in one step as opposed to multiple steps. I would totally recommend this fan.

Just what I needed.
I ordered this 120VAC plug in fan speed controller to use with my gas fired fireplace fan when the power goes out (at 26 deg F!) and I run the fireplace off a 12V LiPo battery and 200W inverter. The fan plugs in separately from the gas valve electronics, so I needed this speed controller to run the fan at half speed during a power outage to extend the battery time throughout the night. This product works as it is intended, and at a great price!

Very low flow, not as advertised
If this fan puts out 400 cfm then I'm a monkey's uncle. I thought to replace my noisier ipower inline fans with something advertised as quieter, but this thing is a joke. I honestly get more airflow from a box fan than this thing turned all the way up. A typical inline duct fan will move so much air the ducting will fly all over the place like a fireman's hose, but not this fan. This fan is used to transfer air from a register in my great room near the wood stove and a/c and deposited into the master bedroom via 20 feet of double insulated ducting running through a sealed crawlspace. My other ipower fans produce so much air even at half power that it produces a noticeable draft in the house, which is perfect for getting that good warm air from the wood stove into the bedroom, and vice versa in the summer. Unfortunately I can hear the fan under the insulated floor joists even at half power. This fan I can't hear, but the airflow is pathetic. For reference, on full blast from a 6 inch duct it will not blow a paper towel from 5 feet away. My other fans will blow over a mobile home. Highly advise avoiding this product unless you just want zero airflow.
