Lights up Aquarium beautifully
This is a very good light. I have been using it for 6 months. The main full spectrum light works great with six levels of intensity. I usually keep it at about 3 or 4 during most of the day. The highest setting is exceptionally bright. The lower settings are good for the evenings. The moonlight settings work well. I usually set it for blue in the late evening and early morning hours. There are also 6 levels of intensity with each moonlight color setting. I wish the moonlight colors could go brighter, but maybe that's because they are meant to be moonlight. You do have to cycle thru the colors to get to the one you want, I always feel like I am freaking out my fish sort of, when I do that. The negatives: It was somewhat challenging to set up. I found it hard to attach the main body of the light to the arm. I did get it eventually. Also, attaching the light to my fish tank, took some creativity. I have a rimless tank. On the outside of the glass, I put a piece of bike tire inner tube and then a cut piece of wood paint stirrer, to cushion the tank glass from the plastic screws of the light arm when they are tightened. It worked out well. You also have to adjust how far you want the light to come out into the middle of the tank and that was somewhat of a delicate procedure. This all worked out, but I think this all should have been a bit easier to do.I never really used the programable daylight to moonlight and back settings. The majority of the daylight is the highest intensity setting which I think is over the top for all day.I wanted to review this light because I am very pleased with it so far. It lights up my aquarium beautifully and the choice of daylight intensities is very good.

Good light.
Been working perfectly on my rimless nanotechnology aquarium for about a year now.

Works Good But Some Updates Are Needed
The media could not be loaded. Pros: *Very Bright *Dimmable *Timer *Daytime and Moonlight *Color Switching *Fair priceCons: Brackets (the one the holds the light on the tank and the one that holds the light onto the main bracket) the are very annoying because they don't stay on place once you set them up, they are loose and light tilts forward, my tank is a rimless tank, I wish the power cable was in the middle instead of the side, I purchase the light with just one bracket not two I guess it makes sense for the light with two brackets to have the power cable on the side but not for this one. I used a hot glue gun to glue the brackets and keep them on place before putting it up on the tank this way I managed to make it look nice now it looks amazing but you should not do that to make it work though they should make it better and timer instructions are a little confusing... they have a lot to improve but if you are handy you would make it work and look great, probably.

Excellent for shallow tanks for fish and plant color and plant growth.
I am using these on a couple of smaller tanks, these have a great full spectrum full light if you do not have to penetrate deep tanks. I ma using them on tanks that are no deeper than 13", and I use a couple inches of substrate. That being said, I am having excellent results with vibrantly colored plants, and fish colors are vibrant as well.

decent color accuracy. strong enough for my fully planted out 3 gallon punch bowl.
The media could not be loaded. i have this hygger on my 3 gallon and one of those cheap sub 10 dollar aquarium lights on my 1 gallon tank next to my 3 gallon. is like the hygger is 1080p while my 1 gallon with the cheap light is like 420p. i have a huge chunk of rose quartz in my 1 gallon and i can't even tell it is pink because of the yellow cast on everything in that tank!!. this hygger light is making my water lettuce grow really well. my pennywort loves it too and repens is doing well. the algae growth on my cheap light is also getting out of control while my hygger tank looks clean enough. if you have a smol planted out tank i think this light is enough for medium high, medium, and low light plants. there is one plant in the tank thats not absolutely thriving but thats my fault for getting a mixed mystery plant package from someone off ebay without telling them it's not for a huge deep tank. i think i am going to use the cheap one elsewhere, maybe a baby fish fry tank as it creates alot of algae for the fry and other things to pick at.

Timer sucks
The timer is garage. Doesn’t work. I have it plugged into a WiFi timer instead

I highly recommend this light! My plants are THRIVING
I originally bought this clip on light for my 20 long and I was so happy with the quality, ease of use/setup/timer but was so impressed by the insane plant growth! In my other tanks with diff lights w/ brackets my plants were barely getting by. My only complaint was having to get creative to fit the brackets on my rimmed tank, but I found a solution! I finally chose purchase this light for my 10 gal and my floating plants have been coming alive again (not to mention the ease of maintenance w/ having a raised light). HIGHLY RECOMMEND especially if you have floaters or use pothos/houseplants to aid in filtration. Couldn’t be happier!
