These pans sit flat on our glass stove, handle feels perfect without getting hot, does beautiful job of even cooking. But OXO, please make a glass/clear lid that has a vent hole and will go in the oven to fit your pans as there is there is obviously a market! I bought the 8 and 10 inch sizes. Have started cold start cooking and these pans measure up. My stove is old, but cooked sausage patties as directed on package and the timing was spot on. Very easy to clean! Have emphasized to my dish washer (yes, he does the dishes!) not to use Pam and clean gently. I did find a lid for my 8" that is perfect for this pan from Amazon.

scratches within a month
I bought this off of a recommendation, it's a nice pan in general but within a month of normal use (no metal utensils) there were several scratches on it. Fortunately having bought from Amazon I was able to send it back.
