Because of hard water in my region I get calculus very easily on my teeth even with regular flossing and brushing, so this saves me a visit to the dentist every month. But I would recommend to still visit dentist every six months to clean calculus near gums, do not try it by yourself bcs it may lead to calculus being pushed in gingiva leading to periodontal diseases. Please note this isn't because of machine but rather user's ineptitude at how to remove calculus near gingiva. Dentist are trained in this stuff. The instruction book does not mention this vital information that it will not vibrate and clean unless you bring the cleaning head to touch a tooth. I was almost going to return this product because of this missing information. However, I read a review by chance that stated this fact. After that, I tried it, and it worked very well.The seller is advised to include this fundamental information in the instruction book.
