NOW Foods Supplements, Pancreatin 2000 with naturally occurring Protease (Protein Digesting), Amylase (Carbohydrate Digesting), and Lipase (Fat Digesting) Enzymes, 250 Capsules

As I was undergoing the discomfort of gallstones this supplement helped with pain relief and my gut health. It was very easy to swallow and it had a neutral smell. Plus it it was functionally enough to get the job done.

My husband deals with pancreatitis, and this is the best with helping breakdown food when he eats. He will be taking this the rest of his life. I used to get this in the local health store, but it wasn't as potent as the Pancreatin 2000. So glad I found it on here! I like the NOW brand and it seems to do what it's supposed to!

I've put off getting enzymes for a few years now and finally ordered some. I have some from another company that are several times stronger than these from NOW, but wanted a less potent version for my lighter meals and snacks and these are perfect for that. They are probably potent enough for many people eating full sized meals but I err on the side of caution. It's a pure product with only the enzymes listed in it and because it's a capsule there is no taste to worry about. They do not bother me in the least in anyway and definitely do away with the symptoms I was having from eating various foods of late, such as wheat, heavy fats, carbs, etc. The older I've gotten the more foods were bothering me. If you have any symptoms after eating I'd suggest trying these. They're inexpensive and you can always increase the dose if it seems like you need to. I take right before I eat. I forgot one meal last week and took them after I ate and it didn't work nearly as good so remember to take them just before you eat. I notice some people just take daily and not necessarily before meals but I don't do that. It's working great as I'm taking them. I won't let myself run out because it's nice to be symptom free and eat mostly what I want.

I bought these enzymes to test on my cat before purchasing a larger, more expensive container for pets. Within two days, his stool was firm and returned to a healthy odor. I would definitely buy again based on this positive result. I mixed the enzymes with a liquid (soy milk) and administered with an oral syringe because he would not eat it in his food. It does have a odor, so I would not expect a cat to be willing to eat. If medicating an animal check the dosage for USP amounts for animals because the serving amount is for human.

I have Acute Pancreatitis. I was diagnosed the 1st week of October and I’ve lost almost 30 pounds! The pain has been so severe I was hospitalized 4 times! The worst abdominal pain I’ve EVER FELT! I’ve been in constant pain for almost a month! The 2nd day of taking these pills the tension eased up!!! I take 1-3 pills daily with or wo a meal. It’s day 4 and I feel 75% better! This seems okay as a digestive aid, especially for folks on lower fat diets since there is substantially less lipase as a proportion of the mix. This is also potentially important for pets with EPI. Someone mentioned using it for a cat with limited success. It depends on the nature of their insufficiency, but there are formulations that may be more suitable when cats rely on fat for a significant part of their energy needs, and for fat-soluble vitamins. This can be especially important for animals diagnosed late with EPI and needing every calorie they can get, along with any vitamin support. There are other options with higher lipase content, but prices have surged for U.S.-origin products. An alternative is to use a Creon enteric equivalent or something like Pan-Tenex off label with the guidance of a vet.

Had some recent digestives issues and was told to take enzymes after big meals. My doctor gave me Creon. Needing a larger supply I tried this product and it works just as good as the more expensive Creon.

Best product. Affordable to common customers. For the last few years, after I am afflicted with certain metabolic disorders, normal life got into disarray, especially abdominal discomfort due to improper digestion. Prescribed for me Creon three times a day. Taken it for several months, but too expensive to afford it along with other vital medicines that I cannot avoid. I talked to my doctor about Now pancreatin and change over to this. Used it for a week now, though with concern, I feel much comfortable now than expected. I love this product as it gives better digestive health, also using Now's probiotic 10. Decided to continue these products till last for a healthy and happy life. I hope I would get it from Azamon on a quarterly basis to avoid skiping of ongoing doses.
