I love this canteen. Plain and simple. Single-walled. Tight seal. I use it on camping trips, and love that I can set it directly on a fire (minus the cap) to boil water. Water tastes great in it, and it's got solid, good quality build. I've dropped it a handful of times, and while it does take on dings, I'm surprised by how small they are compared to how bad the drops have been. Works like a charm!

My other container has a larger diameter making it hard to pour water. This one with less capacity had the perfect size for my small hand to grip.confidently. Quality container but I’m afraid that it will develop the silicone gasket leak. My bigger and older version of the container is starting to leak.

This is my second time purchasing this bottle (I lost the first one), and I love it! I don't like my water ice cold, and this bottle is an excellent way for me to lug around 40 ounces at a time without lugging around something massive. It doesn't insulate drinks and will sweat if you put cold water inside on hot days, but it's perfect for a room-temperature water drinker. My bottle has a few dents in it, but that's because I'm rough on my gear (it rolled under the car yesterday, ha) but it has held up very well.

Somewhat hard to open and dents easily when dropped. The cap holds a few drops of water so when you open it, sometimes water drips down. But doesn't leak when closed.

I prefer the simple wide mouth water bottle especially for washing since I can see into it clearly and there isn’t a bunch of tiny crevices in the top. Hold a huge amount of water. Used it on an international trip recently and when I filled it early morning and put a bit of ice in with the water it kept my water so cold for so long it was amazing. The top seals great. It’s a bit wide for my hand to hold onto for long periods but it does have a handle on the top and I mostly kept in on the backpack pocket. This is a no frills exterior which is great for my travel stickers.

I've owned a 40 oz KK bottle (right in picture) for around 20 years and it is still in perfect condition, and so is my 20 year old 27 oz bottle. I wanted to give my family that quality water bottle to use for years as well so I bought 3 new 40 oz KK bottles. These new bottles can't even withstand the weight of liquid when placed on a counter. The corners are extremely easy to dent. Now all 3 new bottles wobble. The new bottle weighs 200g and the old one weighs 220g. Why ruin a product to save 20g of recycled steel? Because you can reel in loyal customers based on their positive past experiences and then keep selling more when they become unusable. I purchase from KK for their commitment to being "green" and "earth friendly" but the company now intentionally makes their products practically disposable. They completely lost my trust and any future sales. Every time I use the bottles and get a comment about the dents and wobbling I let people know they should avoid KK.

I bought this bottle to use for long runs to replace my water bladder in my osprey daylyte backpack. I’m training for a marathon so I needed something that could hold at least 40oz and keep ice for longer than the plastic water bladder. I am surprised how lightweight this bottle is and it works great for what I use it for. I don’t think it would be good for a smaller camelbak style bag because it’s so big. I lined the bottom of my bag with foam so the bottle doesn’t sway when I’m running. It’s not great for hot beverages because the outside of the bottle is the same temperature of the fluid inside because it’s single walled. I replaced the cap because it’s so heavy and it has a tendency to cross thread and bend the gasket inside the cap. I bought this bottle originally because I didn’t like the taste the plastic bladder imparted to my water and I chose against an aluminum bottle because most are lined with polyester. This bottle is made entirely of steel.

La botella me encanta, de verdad se siente de calidad y mantiene el agua fresca. Sin embargo a veces, muy rara vez, pero me ha pasado ya tres veces en 6 meses, al momento de cerrar la botella el sello o empaque se sale de sitio y cae dentro del líquido sin que lo notes. El problema de eso es que si la guardas en la mochila tu computadora morirá. Las tres veces se derramó dentro de mi mochila pero las primeras dos veces me di cuenta y vacíe la mochila, sequé todo y no hubo mayor problema. Pero la tarcera vez que me pasó, tenía muy poca agua y sólo se humedeció la mochila quedándose así por toda la noche. Al día siguiente saqué la laptop y estaba húmeda, como el espejo del baño después de la ducha. Obviamente la computadora ya no sirvió por la corrosión en la placa madre. Disculpen que salga del tema, pero como una botella aparentemente de calidad y un precio tan elevado puede tener una falla de diseño así de malo y abusado, me parece una falla tremenda. Por lo mismo la botella me acabó saliendo 20 veces más cara por la computadora que se descompuso. Ahora lo que hago es voltearla cuando la cierro para asegurar que no tenga fugas, además de tenerla que cargar siempre en la mano por si de alguna forma misteriosa el sello vuelve a salirse de sitio durante el transporte.
