The Gladiator Series

My son really likes the knife ,the knife is very sharp and cuts through meats with ease and the knife is very strong

About a year ago I needed a new boning knife and order Dalstrong's Gladiator series. I liked it from the day I used it. they are very well balanced, the handle is comfortable to hold and grip, and the blade holds an edge. I broke down 75 22-26 lb turkeys for last Thanksgiving with out having to touch the sharpening stone. Due to the fact I am a chef in a national park I was laid off during the government shutdown and my knife set was stolen. I replaced my entire set with Dalstrong and do not regret it what so ever. Every knife has been built with the same quality and yes I did order the big daddy butchers knife. I have only two areas that could use improvement. First it would be great if they would build knife set for chef's in their kitchens such as a butchers set or a grade mange set with knife rolls or carrying cases. The block sets offer little to the professional kitchen. And second i am disappointed they have not yet contacted me to become their official spokesperson and send me to show how awesome their knives are, lol. Okay the second reason is a pipe dream but its fun to dream. But really these knives are great and the quality far exceeds the price

This knife is just great. It’s super sharp also bought a sharpener to keep it that way, haven’t had to sharpen it yet. Their customer service is excellent. I have a few of their knifes and this is my favorite right now. I would highly recommend buying any knife they sell. This knife feels good in the hand like it’s very well made. If you can get the discount you should get one either way.

I use this knife everyday when I don't have to worry about handling meats. It has completely replaced my chefs knife because it is just the sharpest most well balanced knife I've ever used

WOW, this is an outstanding knife. First off it is beautiful. It is like a piece of artwork. The knife is well made and elegant. The knife comes in a very classy box for storage or for giving as a gift. The knife is seven inches long. It is great for cutting and especially chopping. I love how the handle fits in my hand and the grip I have on it. It makes it very easy to cut and dice fruits and vegetables. I used it to chop up some ginger, onions and scallions for dinner last night and it worked very well. The blade is so pretty and yet so sharp too. The knife has a sheath that comes with it to keep it safe which is an extra bonus. I am really thrilled with this knife. It works very well, it is made extremely well and has a good grip to it. The knife smoothly cuts and chops it is not hard to accurately cut things. This knife makes cutting almost anything easy and quick. I would highly recommend this knife, it is wonderful product

I bought this knife after weeks of deliberation between Dalstrong and their competitors on Amazon. In the end, the price, value, reportedly great customer service, and style won me over. I received the knife on time, in a very sexy white box. At this price point, they try to make you feel special. It does work, but we all know the proof is in the pudding. Onto the knife: It's an excellent blade. The handle is comfortable, the metal has good heft. I am pleased with the design, sharpness out of the box, and the lady is very pleased. We had a small issue with shipping, and Dalstrong made it right. I value their small, family run company and I promise this is not a paid review. They are genuinely good knives, easily giftable at a great price point. I purchased this before I jumped on one of their "only five-star" reviewed knives in the 100+ price point range. I will be getting one after trying out this series :)

Good knife to use, but if you're using it in a commercial kitchen.....Your arm will get tired. It's closer to a low profile clever.

Not sharp as other dalstrong out of the box, but a really good knife.

Robustissimo, bello, affilato e pesante. Non troppo maneggevole per le verdure se non sei un gigante con mano da gigante. Lo ritengo poco adatto per una donna per il suo peso.

Excellent knife for me. It is well balanced in the hand, though could be too heavy for some. For me, a man, I like a bit of weight on the blade; it seems to make it easier to chop. I got it for £50.incl postage ; it was said to be about £120 normally. Very sharp edge. My only criticism is that they seem to avoid mentioning that it is a stainless steel blade. I was looking for high carbon knife steel, the type that will rust if left wet, and will stain also. However that type of steel is easier to sharpen and can be forged to a thinner cutting edge. Although the stainless steels have improved and can be narrow and don't dull so easily they were too expensive for me and I thought I could get a very sharp knife of Knife Steel for cheaper than a high quality stainless. This is good enough for me but they recommend a water stone for sharpening and I have everything but. I have oilstone, two honing steels- one ridged and one smooth, and a diamond stone. I think the diamond is the best bet but it is coarse so I may get a smoother one. I am in touch with Dalstrong about what to use. Dalstrong call it HC (high carbon) but nowhere in their advert or on the box, on the bunmf that came with the knife nor on the blade does it mention the "S" word-STAINLESS. Is it because they want people to think that it is the high quality knife steel that the Japanese do so well? Have Dalstrong and others in Germany invested heavily in advanced stainless only to see that people still want the other knife steel despite the fact that it will rust and stain? All said, I like it but would not have paid £120. For that kind of price I would fork out (pardon the pun) for (potentially rusty) high quality knife steel- Japanese or German..
