excellent timepiece with understated but handsome design
I love Citizen’s Garrison and Weekender series, styled after aviator, military, and similar styles: handsome, tough, and easy to read at a glance. At first, I was puzzled that this Weekender Garrison Super Titanium Watch (Model: BM8568-01L) was barely over two Benjamins, whereas the same models with different colors were another c-note. I’m guessing the blue color isn’t as popular as the black and green face models and is being closed out? Whatever the reason, this is a killer deal for a titanium case and sapphire crystal. With all blues—band and face—it is not a showboat or dressy watch, but it shines when you dress down with jeans and a tee. So exceedingly handsome but in an understated way. If you want it to stand out more, add the contrast of different colored band. Saddle leather with off-white stitching makes it pop. I mentioned earlier how easy it is to read the time at a glance. Not so much for the day and date feature: it’s too tiny to read unless in blazing bright light or wearing strong reading glasses. In fairness, I can't read the dates on any of my watches tho'. The luminous numbers and hands glow in dim light, albeit not as bright as my old Citizen skindiving watch. Build is impeccable, extremely light, crown doesn’t dig my hand, and the leather band is soft and comfy. I have a sender frame (5’8”) and the 42mm case looks correctly sized for me and the band fits perfectly (use middle holes). If you have really large wrists, you may need to replace the band with something longer. I own several Citizen watches and have come to love the Eco-Drive (solar-powered charging) feature. I’ll never bother again with watches in need of regular battery changes. Not sure why this watch has frequent returns as it is truly an excellent timepiece. Oh, and it keeps time well! Highly recommended!

A Top-Noth Everyday Watch
I like a watch that has a clean look. Time, day, and date are all that I use on a regular basis, so I really don't need a compass, altimeter, or a display of the moon phases. I have a compass and an altimeter, and I can see the moon at night. And I have a separate stopwatch. What I want for everyday use is a good-looking watch that's easy to read, keeps good time, and can stand up to regular wear and tear. This watch meets or exceeds my desires. It's quite attractive, gives me what I want clearly, and keeps excellent time. As to specific aspects: Size - As a few reviewers have noted, it's fairly large, but not obnoxiously so. I don't have a large wrist, and it fits me just fine. Band - Some have complained that the band they got wasn't 22mm, but mine is, and I find it to be of good quality and attractive. I did get a second band for some variety, but this one is quite good. Day and date - White letters and numbers against a black background require a closer look, but makes the watch face more consistent in color. It's a price I'm willing to pay; I usually know whether it's Tuesday or Wednesday, and don't need the date all that often. Construction and durability - It's made with high-end materials, so I expect that it will hold up over time, without a lot of scratches etc. So far, it still looks brand new. I haven't worn it while doing engine repair, but for everyday use it hasn't disappointed. Overall, it's not a dress watch, but it is a watch that I'll happily wear anywhere else.

A HUGE RETURN ON YOUR INVESTMENT!
What a great watch at a great price! I've only had it a few days, but I'm already in love with it. To my eye, it's simple and beautiful.. Seems to be accurate. HIGH POINTS: Very easy to read LUMINESCIENCE that actually works! Waterproof to 100m SUPER Titanium! Date AND day Second hand that clicks PRECISELY on each second line SAPPHIRE crystal! Comfortable and understated I own 13 watches. Most are Citizens, which consistenly hit the benchmarks of quality, good looks, and value. EXCELLENT BUILD QUALITY I cannot fathom why this would be "frequently returned". Read the reviews.

Near Perfect Daily Wearer
If you catch this watch at a sub-$300 price, it is near-perfect. I own two Omegas, two Seiko King Turtles, and several high-end G-Shocks. Unfortunately as I age, my eyesight is becoming terrible. I wanted a daily wear non-shiny metallic solar-powered watch with large numerals on the dial. As I took the watch out of the box and held it in my hand I couldn’t believe how light it was (is). Except for a formal dress watch I own, it is by far, much lighter than anything else in my collection. Citizen’s “Super Titanium” is incredible - strong, scratch-resistance, and super-lightweight. The numerals on the watch face are large and very easy to read. Additionally, I’m very pleased that the bracelet and watch case are matte-finished instead of shiny. The ring outside the sapphire crystal is shiny, but not overly so and gives a nice contrast to the rest of the matte titanium. Reason for 4-stars: CONS: 1. The day-date window is ridiculously small and to compound the problem, the background is black with the smallest white font imaginable. I can barely read it even while wearing my reading glasses. I’m considering purchasing a magnifier (search watch face magnifier or cyclops magnifier) Additionally, if you search Seiko model SRPE05, you'll see what I’m trying to achieve with the by applying a magnifier to the day-date window. 2. There are only two micro-adjusts (and I wouldn’t classify them as micro) in the clasp. Some people might have trouble adjusting the band to fit their arm properly.

Very reliable time piece
This is a very good everyday watch. It keeps very accurate time. The date window is too small for my eyes but it does not bother me. The band is very easy to resize to fit my wrist snugly. The sapphire face is very good at resisting scratches. I have had this watch over one year and subjected to a lot of abrasive conditions and the face held up well. The band is light but it gets scratched easily but it can be buffed out if needed. Overall just a beautiful, well priced wrist watch that’s very accurate and reliable.

Excelente reloj, es muy ligero, es algo grande, pero ya en la muñeca es muy cómodo, le cambié la correa porque quería un reloj verde. Lo encontré en oferta y no dude, muy recomendable.
