Nostalgia Extra Large Diner-Style Steamer 20 Hot Dogs and 6 Bun Capacity, Perfect for Breakfast Sausages, Brats, Vegetables, Fish

I can prepare a snack at any time without disturbing or breaking any rules of the kitchen. My latest addition to my man-cave along with such necessities as a coffee maker, heated water pitcher for soup and ramen, pop-corn popper, and omelet iron, is the Oscar Mayer Hot Dog Steamer, and even though it looks like a toy I would give my great grand kids, it really works perfectly for me!Easy to assemble it is sealed to prevent any water from dripping out while under operation. I only used enough water to fill the heating chamber halfway up, and placed four hotdogs into the drawer. In ten minutes, the dogs were hot so I pulled one and left the others to continue steaming. The entire unit was hot and steamy on the inside, but the outside was only warm to the touch and completely dry. After 15 minutes the remaining hot dogs were dark brown and had the familiar look and aroma of fully cooked hotdogs, and they were delicious.I prefer having a hot dog wrap, so there is enough room in the bun warmer to fold over a burrito size flour tortilla and warm it up just before loading it up with all your favorite condiments.Clean up is almost nil with just a rinsing being necessary, and it stores away easily on a shelf.I had such good success with hotdogs, I may try steaming some corn on the cob, or maybe even some bratwurst next.Bon Appetit!

Love this gaget! I don't recommend using high, as it will explode your hot dogs if you don't plan on eating them right away. In other words, it gets hot, fast! Place hot dogs and buns inside, turn on high till it heats up, then turn down to warm, if you plan to eat a short while later. Love the steamy buns that come out of this and the retro nostalgic blue design is so cute! I used it for a get together and everyone loved the look and functionality of it. I use it a lot and is one of my favorite purchases.

Friend had one for a small party and while I laughed at it at first because it looks a little janky, it worked so well that I bought one for myself. Great for setting up a hot dog bar for parties, since this keeps everything hot and people can just make their own hotdog whenever.

I love this for the ease of use and the nostalgia. Works well with tamales as well as bratwurst and hot dogs. About the size of a 2 slice toaster. Upper pieces could be made from a heavier or more sturdy material tho

This is fast and easy way to make a package of hotdogs or more at a time. It’s about 10 minutes or less from start to finish. I did learn that start them on low and if it’s not coming fast enough for you just click it to high for a few minutes. Also don’t put the buns in until about 1/2 done cooking the hotdogs otherwise you will get hard buns on the bottom row. We love it! Would buy it again.
