I bought this for my youngest son for MMA use. I chose is specifically because it comes with a £17,500 insurance policy if his teeth are damaged while he is wearing this to cover any dental bills . Of course the reason the company can do this , is because this is so well made , they don't expect damage. It is bit awkward to make. This is not ready to use. You have to soak in boiled water to soften it, cool for just a few seconds and then bite and hold. This allows the material to be perfectly moulded to your teeth. My son left it a bit too hot and found this uncomfortable, but I did tell him to cool more. You only get one chance so you need to practice a bit first . Once you mould this it will remain this shape. As my son is having some dental work done, he will have to buy a new one after each major change. It's expensive, but worth it. As this was our first one, and he had it too hot, we didn't get it perfect. It is just slightly off centre. I contacted Oppo customer service and they were exceptionally helpful. They explained now it should fit and we realised this is only the slightest deviation. As we are going to have to replace this due to dental work soon any way, my son decided to keep it. But they offered to replace it with a new kit which was very helpful. This is far more comfortable than the ready to use mouth shields my son has tried. A combination of a much better fit and the fact that the material is softer and more cushioned. I believe this really is the gold standard for this type of device, and the customer service is above and beyond what I would expect. I would rate their customer service experience as absolutely perfect. There isn't anything they could do it to make it better short of sending an employee to help with the fitting. I know absolutely nothing about these things and they not only took the time to explain but were willing to take a loss to send a new product if needed. In addition I would rate the product as not just good but perfect. This is one time 5 stars just isn't enough. I have always thought Amazon should have a special rating which could only be used for a small percentage of reviews. Even if the special marks were only awarded for one in a hundred products, this item would get the extra star or +. I would do this even if I had to sit and reviee a hundred more items to get the mark.

Good quality and comfortable once you've moulded it to your liking. It stays in and does exactly what it's supposed to do. It's not very thin so hard to talk with it in but you want the extra protection this provides so is a trade off. Easy to mould like any other mouthguard

Easy to mould if you follow the instructions. Wouldn’t necessarily say the cage provides as much benefit as the hype, and would have got a better fit if I hadn’t used it, but overall, provides a well fitted gum shield.

Nice gumshield. Fits perfectly and easy to mould with hot water. Doesn’t fall out as the fit works well without it being too large

This company produces some of the finest mouthguards. Easy to mould with the instructions. My last UFC guard lasted me a while. I'm gonna start replacing my mouth guards every 6 months and I'll definitely be using this company. I haven't lost a tooth yet!

About the only boil and bite mouthguard I’ll let my children play with.

My daughter has been using this gum sheild for a while, she will not use another, easy to mold, comfortable fit. And protection seems to be good. Great value and functionality for that piece of mind

Great product. Clear instructions and found the you tube clip on fitting very useful. It took to go’s to get the best fit. Good result in the end.

The instructions say to use maximum force to bite when forming the mouth guard, if you follow this is the bite ends up being way too hard and will ruin the mouth guard during the forming process. When forming use medium strength bite if you are an adult man
