I figured I was taking a chance buying these as a set of 2 is cheaper than buying a single from other sources. They were a little slow delivering, maybe they were temporarily out of stock. At first look when I held them against the shaft of my chair it did indeed look like the hole was too small, but after assembling with the screws they flexed and fit like a glove! The shafts on my chairs measure 0.995", literally just a hair less than an inch.

doesn't fit the cylinder do not buy

got this for my office chair to stop the sink, go figure. measured the cylinder with a set of calipers 1.083"so should be within the range of the clamps....not even close.tried them on a few of my co workers chairs, 3 chairs, 3 different makers....did not fit any, way to small.this all said the clamps themselves are robust and IF they fit they would probably work.....IF they fit

The rings are incredibly tiny. They will NOT fit most if not all office chairs. Save your money and look elsewhere.
