I really LOVE these King Oscar Mackerel, Mediterranean Style cans! These are so delicious, and as a personal, private chef, I should know of what I speak. In a pinch, you have a satisfying meal. The flavors are robust and truly well blended. The fish is skinless and boneless and sublime. I always keep these (and the Salmon variety) on hand. I’m not a fan of sardines and tuna is just okay, but I really like this mackerel, and it helps me get some omega 3s into my diet. I’ve never noticed any bones, and the texture is more like tuna (which is a good thing imo). I can grab a can and throw it onto a bed of lettuce for a quick, satisfying, and healthy lunch. The Mediterranean is my favorite but I like them all, even the jalapeño. I’m a wimp when it comes to spicy food and assumed it would be hot, but it’s very mild with a nice hint of jalapeño flavor. Just a warning, however—my husband can’t stand the smell, so be prepared with some gum or a toothbrush if eating around others!

I like sardines and found these mackerel as an alternative. They taste better! The texture, in my opinion, is firm and superior to sardines and tuna. The Mediterranean style in olive oil, with herbs and the green and black olives, is the way to go - I serve them for my kids over rice, and they ask for it again and again. These also check the right nutritional boxes for me.

This is excellent quality. However my friend is allergic to red peppers. I bought some with only olive oil for her.

Tastes good, lots of good protein. Olive oil is a bit watered down but the fish is tasty. Had no bones or skin. Package was totally fine and to me decent price and value. Quality seems good, wild caught so that’s the best thing. No leak out of the can. I love this fish which has lots of omega 3!
