I already have a stable of Ryobi One+ tools, and have been pleased with them all, so it was a no-brainer to get this powered ratchet when I decided I wanted one. I didn't have to buy a new battery or charger, because I have them already. I was doubtful that I would use this enough to justify the investment, as I am a DIY guy. The concern was unjustified, as it works so well that I use it almost every time I use my sockets. The torque is surprisingly strong! So much so, that on smaller sizes, it will remove them without need to manually break them loose first. The ratchet is strong enough that you can do this with most fasteners, but I wouldn't try it to remove wheel lugs. It fits into places that an impact wrench cannot, which is why a bought it in the first place. It's so great to spin nuts and bolts in or out quickly rather than going back and forth with an ordinary ratchet hundreds of times in a tight space. Also, you can get the socket onto the bolt or nut, and because the ratchet can rotate to any angle, unlike a standard ratchet, you can always get it to fit onto any fastener it can reach, and spin it without any side-to-side movement of the ratchet necessary, at all!

Product works well as I am a professional technician. Only problem is that it is a bit large due to the size of the battery. Has good power for an electric ratchet.

I have a lot of Ryobi stuff and I like this tool as much as the others. No, it's not Dewalt or Milwaukee, but Ryobi is putting out some good stuff and mostly getting the details right for less cashola. The extended head is really helpful when squeezing between the alternator and timing belt cover to loosen a nut. Only once did the overlong neck limit my ability to back out a nut on my riding mover. Great torque, 4 position head, and long battery life. I heartily recommend this tool.

I own yellow, blue, and green tools so I had a choice which way to go when shopping for a ratchet. For the price and performance this ryobi tool is hard to beat. Tightens and loosens nuts and bolts way better than I expected. And it's 18v not 12v like many others. Very happy with this tool.

Do not buy, beware Ryobi does not honor warranty from Amazon purchases. They are unauthorized 3rd party sellers. Amazon is becoming trash with deceptive selling. Amazon customer service was able to make it right after a hour of talking to them and returned my item past the return date. Amazon customer service is great, buying tools on Amazon is always a gamble. Quite long which is good for leverage and long reach, but does limit usage in tight places like under a car on jackstands. Also Ryobi battery design puts a lot of weight at the end and it is a large brick. 4/5 stars for while it worked. It is quite heavy. The tool failed after 20 minutes of use. Now it is just an unpowered rachet...I expect more from Ryobi than that or I would buy unknown china brand from Amazon. I will probably move to Milwaukee or DeWalt in the future regardless of my warranty claim outcome.

Da hat Ryobi mal wieder einen Knaller gelandet. Als Automechaniker kenne ich diese Werkzeuge vorwiegend in der 1/2 Zoll Version mit Druckluftanschluß. Diese Geräte sind leichter, aber extrem laut und der Schlauch behindert auch sehr. In der Ryobi Akkuversion steht hier ein höheres Gewicht, und eine gewisse Unhandlichkeit durch den großen Akku dagegen. Das Gerät ist aber im Vergleich flüsterleise. Die von Ryobi angegebenen 55 Nm sind mehr als ausreichend. Dieser Schrauber hat echt Kraft. Dadurch, das man den Schraubkopf jederzeit um 360Grad verdrehen kann, wird das alles schon handlicher. Der lange Kopf läßt Arbeiten auch in engeren Räumen zu. Kommt aber auf Grund des großen Akkus trotzdem nicht an die Flexibilität der Druckluftgeräte ran. Am Schrauber selbst ist nur eine Arretierungstaste gegen das versehentliche Einschalten. Mehr nicht. Keine App Anbindung oder sonstiger überflüssiger Schnickschnack. Die Drehzahl regelt man über den Einschalter. Ganz einfach. Ich hab mit dieser Akkuratsche einen Krümmer mit M8 Muttern gewechselt, Zündkerzen ein und ausgeschraubt, ein komplettes Getriebe aus und eingebaut und diverse andere Schrauben geschraubt. Der Brushlessmotor wird nicht heiß und zickt nicht rum. Ich betreibe die Ratsche vorwiegend mit einem 3Ah Akku und mußte diesen noch nie bei irgendeiner Arbeit wechseln. Ich bin ein absoluter Fan von diesem Gerät.

I had to construct a large galvanised steel dog pen and run with limited access. I imagined that this will help do the bulk of the work and that I would have to tighten it up at the end with a proper ratchet. However it was if anything too powerful and I had to be careful not to dent the metal with the power of the machine. Very impressive.
