Are you wanting to protect your tv or high end stereo equipment from low voltage or high voltage spikes? This is the appliance for you. This protects from brown outs and high voltage, shutting off power before your audio/video equipment can be damaged. I purchased this unit after having to replace audio equipment because of power fluctuation issues. The blue light on the front can be turned off if you do not like it. Well worth the cost!

Pros: Cool looking Clean power output Many outlets, perfect for your Media Center Cons: (Not exactly a) I wish it was at a lower price but still i am happy with the quality. Others: I purchased this because: 1) i had a lot of noise on my outlets thanks to the AC being on the same line. (Every time the AC would start, my tv would loose signal for a few seconds). After installing this device, it has not had this problem anymore (output line is clean) 2) i had some equipment burnt because of a thunderstorm. However all devices behind this were protected.

I bought this to keep my Denon AVR-S930H from overheating. This does a very good job of that. I can feel a big difference in the temp. I forgot to turn it on when bumping hard and the receiver got pretty hot as usual. Kicked this on high and in a couple of minutes it was noticeably cooler. Dropped the fan speed and it kept it there. I usually run on low all day when using the receiver and it’s just right. I prefer to operate off auto.

I get surges fairly often and this seems to protect all of my entertainment devices. Bright blue lights are dimmable. Device is well labeled making installation easy. I like the Panamax products I've had over many years.

Good value for the price. I’m know you could spend much more on a product of this type but I think you might soon be into the area of diminishing returns. This entry level Panamax does the basics pretty well, it seems. The front panel lights are quite bright but the blue bars can be shut off. Unfortunately, the laser-bright “power on” light can’t, but it’s easily fixed with some tape or an adhesive label.

I used to install Panamax surge protectors in my high end Home theaters. I love their products! Protect my exponent from a over voltage, in my house that other store brand surge protectors, melted and even caught fire. This one notified me of the high unsafe voltage and protected my equipment. I highly recommend that you have one, on your TV system

Tried several brands, power cord too short. A little expensive, but worth it. My audio/video equipment is expensive too, why not the best?
