golo Crochet Thread Size 10 Yarn for Hand Knitting Crochet Yarn (Bright Silvery-666)

Lovely and strong , I’m making crochet snowmen so this is for the hats. Nice texture doesn’t twist or unravel, has a shine to it and is great to crochet with, I’m using needle sizes from 1.75 down to a 1.00 and crochets really well.

I bought this to crochet amigurumi dolls using a 1mm hook. This yarn in simply beautiful. It’s soft and lightweight but extremely strong. The colour match to that of the pictures on the advert are pretty spot on and the mercerised sheen makes finished items look high quality and is an absolute dream to work with. Excellent value for money and arrived quick and well packaged. Would definitely recommend this product and will buy again.

I bought this for tatting crochet lace and it is absolutely perfect. A good sturdy thread which knots perfectly when tatting. It is very smooth, so doesn't tangle. The colour matches the photo perfectly, very pleased with this item and the other ones I purchased are just as good. Will definately be buying others of this kind, there is so much variety so will be a hard choice!

This thread is gorgeous to look at. It is soft and smooth with a lovely sheen. However, it is slippery to use as it’s silky so is not suitable for anyone who isn’t experienced with thread. For beginners it is best to use thread that has some ’grip’. Also if you are using it for Irish crochet, it’s hard to get the stitch first few stitches to stay on the cord. Very frustrating! I also wonder if it is genuinely a standard size 10 thread. I have compared it with the Aunt Lydia size 10, which is considered the standard size 10. You can see from the image that the Golo is slightly finer and appears less tightly wound. However, that does not mean it splits more easily. The size difference matters if you are uncomfortable with finer thread and when gauge is critical. Looks wise, it is slightly more lustrous than Aunt Lydia thread. Regardless of the challenges, a beautiful thread indeed.
