OREI Dolby Atmos converter
Very worst product. Don't buy it. It is not working properly. If need any service which is not available. There is no response from seller and from marketing. Even there is no proper contact person in Amazon as well as product owner.

Works like a charm
Used this to split video and arc audio from nvidia shield tv. The video output is fed to benq ht2150st projector ( non arc) . The arc audio is sent to sony ht rt3. As seen in the pictures, the hometheatre is outputting dolby digital 5.1. The same can be seen supported in ott apps like netflix, prime and hotstar. Excellent customer support from Faze Electronics on answering all queries related tl my setup and recommending a product to solve my problems. Highly recommended.

Unreliable
Completely stopped working after 9 months. I was using to connect an eARC soundbar to an ARC TV to get Atmos. It did work even though the OREI device had to be restarted every time the TV woke up from sleep. Now, after nine months the OREI device doesn't even switch on.

It worked once over eARC, sounded great. Then, after unplugging and plugging it back in, it no longer worked over eARC.

Lo compre para conectar una apple tv que esta hacia un proyector 4K sin earc, y conectar un sistema sonos 5.1, cumple muy bien aunque tuve que eliminar un divisor hdmi que hacia la conexión inestable.

Some problem. The Atmo wont work when I conncet to Xbox X, Apple TV wont display at all. So I can only connect to my Shield TV.

If you're setting up a real home theater, with a projector, not a TV, you need a way to send the streaming or Blu-ray video signal to the projector and the audio signal to the home theater audio system. Sounds simple, right? Wrong. TVs have audio out HDMI for this purpose. Blu-ray players do not. So your choices are to buy an expensive receiver or to buy an eARC extractor. If you search "eARC extractor" in Amazon, a ton of choices come up, but don't be fooled. Most of them don't actually separate video from eARC audio. I was about to buy an HDFury Arcana for $300 when I found this OREI option for about $100 and decided to take a chance. Glad I did - it works perfectly.
