I have used this for 4 months now and it works better than I anticipated. It's one of the best-designed products I've ever bought. [I'm a 77 yr. old male.] It has more power than I need, but there are gentler settings. It's easy to fill and holds plenty of water. The charge lasts a long time, maybe two or three weeks. It's very easy to clean and maintain, just a bit of vinegar in the water and run it through, then rinse with more water.. The bulb that picks up the water allows one to use it in any position and it will continue spraying. Ergonomics are well-thought out. This is a very elegant product and a bargain at this price. A 3 year warranty is amazing. This company deserves some recognition. The only weakness is the hinge on the little filler door. Just be careful when cleaning or drying the unit, but even if it were to break, the door would still seal and hold the water without leaking.

I've had a history of poor brushing habits in my youth and now that I'm old(er) I've significantly improved in that area. One thing that has helped significantly is the water flosser. I began with the traditional plug in systems but later discovered the Panasonic hand held which was portable. It was very good and lasted for years but the down side was replacing batteries or using a variety of rechargable batteries. After it finally died, I began looking at rechargeable portable water flossers and long story short, the AAU Smart Oral Irrigator is tops!! It's hand held, but has an easy fill and comparably large reservoir to give 40 or so seconds on the normal power mode. There are 5 modes I believe, but it will remember the last mode you used which is very convenient. I assumed I would need to highest setting but so far Normal is working fine which has never been the case with any other portable flosser I had tried. It comes with a usb-c power cable (you provide the normal usb power brick) so charging is easy. Overall I really don't have anything negative to say. I love it and hope other manufacturers learn some lessons from this unit!!

This is a really nice hydro flosser. I had purchased another brand in the same price range, but that unit stopped working after about 2 weeks. After returning that unit, I purchased this one instead. What I like: The modes are explained in the booklet along with PSI, so you know the difference in strength for all the modes and you can choose accordingly. Since I had used the previous flosser for a couple weeks, I tried the Pulse mode first. It's a bit more powerful setting than I was using previously, but it is very tolerable. My teeth feel really clean and my gums get a nice workout. The power and the mode buttons are on the front of the unit, so you have to take a bit of care not to change the mode inadvertently while using the unit. The good news is, for the most part, the mode changes to a lower power setting (except for going from Soft to Pulse which is a higher setting) if you do happen to hit the mode button while in use. I use the hydro flosser while bent over the sink and keep my mouth almost closed which limits the amount of water that splashes around. The tank is large enough to do two complete passes over all my teeth, front and back, before the water runs out. I put a bit of hydrogen peroxide in the tank with the water. If you send the seller an email with your Amazon order # within 7 days of purchase, you will get a 3 year warranty. That's pretty great given the fact that I don't think this unit will last 3 years :) What I don't like about it: The opening to fill the water tank is pretty small. There is no way to get all the water out of the tank. It will not drain out of the opening, and if you take the tank off, there is a lip all the way around the top of the tank which prevents you from pouring the water out of the tank that way. I have to stick a paper towel or the corner of the hand towel into the tank to soak up the remaining water in the tank before putting it back on, leaving the fill door open, and storing the unit between uses. It comes with the USB cable but no charging unit. All in all, I'm happy with the product and my teeth look and feel amazing.

This is my first water flosser and I am still getting the hang of it. Accidentally turned it on first time BEFORE it was in my mouth and showered the ceiling!! LOL I am finding it takes a few tries to get the right feel of it but maybe I am just uncoordinated! The third time was a charm and I do feel it does a good job. I like the assorted tips and the extra regular ones for hubby and me to have our own. It is a nice design and holds a good amount of water. Pressure is excellent and I used SOFT twice and normal once. I think they could have given more tips on rotating the tip. I had to figure out why it rotated ( better angle depending on part of mouth you are in) and for me I have to keep my thumb on the power button to keep turning it off to change tip position. I don't know if this is the most efficient way to use it but can't figure out another way . When I tried to rotate it during application I showered the mirror!! Again...LOL! So a few tips in the instructions would have been helpful. All in all I am happy with it and I like that it is easily recharged and doesn't use double A batteries like some of the more well known brands.

My old Water Pick died a few years ago. This is so much better. It is a bit larger than we expected but still easy to hold and use over the sink (and without a water hose!) The "pulse" setting is significantly stronger than my old Water Pick, even a little too strong for my delicate gums, but other settings give me a good choice for any state of my gums. It's quicker than brushing and so a great way to get the food out after eating. The fill hole plug sometimes is too hard to open but the tank itself unscrews easily so half the time I fill it that way. It is hard to drain completely, as another reviewer pointed out, but running a little hydrogen peroxide through it will kill anything that starts growing, so you don't really need to dry it out completely. It came with a card that has a QR code to scan to get the 3-year warranty. The QR code will make an email pop up that asks for your Amazon order number, so have it ready when you do that. Overall, a great purchase.

This is a wonderful water flosser. I got hooked on water flossers when I had braces. Normally I use an electric plug in model at home. Since I was going on a trip, I decided to purchase a new one (my old portable had a 45 second charge and small capacity). This model offered a 350 ml capacity (one small sip less than a can of soda) so I decided to give it a try. I was impressed that the flosser can be charged with a USB-C cable (one less cable to carry). Although it did not come with a power source, I have plenty of those. I charged this up before leaving for my trip and have been using it almost daily for three weeks now - all on the original charge! Pros: Long lasting charge. LARGE capacity. Comes with multiple tips. 5 different settings (strong, normal, soft, pulse and child). Easy to fill. Cons: Like all portable water flossers, it is somewhat awkward to hold and use. Best to roll up your sleeve before using to keep your shirt dry. The power button is easy to turn on/off - a careful grip is needed so you don't turn it off while using it (minor issue and you quickly adopt a grip that works for you). I have NOT had an issue with it turning on while packed in a suitcase. For anyone using a water flosser who likes to travel, I highly recommend this unit.

BEWARE. Both my wife and I purchased these a few years ago and they worked fine. My wife's stopped working a few months ago and she ordered a new one and what she received was nothing like the one shown in the pictures - it was smaller, less capacity, only 3 modes and had no manufacturers brand on it.

My husband and I have used water picks in the past. I disliked the old fashioned plug-in model with the tank that was not only cumbersome, but took up so much space on the vanity. We both have had water picks recommend to us by the hygienists in both or dentist and periodontists office. After learning I had an infected gum issue, I shopped for a water pick and was so pleased that I chose this great unit. It is compact, comes with an array of different sized picks, has an array of different pulse strengths and holds a charge for weeks. It is easy to use and clean. I was so pleased with this unit, I ordered another one for my husband. We loves it! This unit out performs others that we have used at twice the price. Very impressed!
