Dia-Band Child, Support and Protection Band for Freestyle Libre, Medtronic, Dexcom or Any Glucose Sensor – Reusable Diabetic Band (Junior.XS (17-19cm))

2 year old uses omnipod dash. He managed to rip 2 off within 24 hours, the 1st being on only 2.5 hours so we bought these as a bit of protection. It worked well for a couple of weeks, and the size seemed correct, not too tight etc. However by day 16 we had our first pump fail. 3 days later we had another fail just 4 hours after a new pod had been applied. 6 days after that another fail. In total we had 4 fails. After a bit of research it does seem that if compressed, the insulin could stop flowing through the canula. Since no longer using the band, we've had no fails. The band wasn't tight, it by no means left marks on his arms to suggest otherwise. So unfortunately we've stopped using this band and have bought a tape instead which seems to be working.
