Climbing Hand Ascender for Rock Climbing Arborist (Right and Left) for 8~12 mm Rope

Bought this for climbing dynamic ropes, and it has proven to be reliable for me. It comes with a right AND a left which is already a step up from many other companies. The teeth slide up smoothly and clamp down nicely. The holds are ergonomic and the safety triggers are in a good place.

I have an 8.3mm rope. Works well on it. Used it a few times to ascend the rope. Noticed that name brand ascenders work much smoother though for allowing the rope to slide through on the bottom hand/slack rope hand below you.

This is an excellent two pack (left/right hand) for ascending a rope. Worked very well and easily. High quality.

I love the price you can't beat it. This is not a safety device, It just captures progress. With that being said, you may have issues with certain carabiners in the top oval slot. I highly recommend a more rounded carabiner or if you are handy and don't want to buy one simply grind the oval hole into a circle since again, this is NOT a safety device it doesn't matter and It will increase performance with more triangular shape carabiners. As far as releasing the cam with 1 hand, I simply flip my grip 180 degrees and I can open the cam no problem with just my thumb. Great product I would buy again
