This thing is like a swiss army knife when it comes to lighting. I can't tell you how many different situations I've used these lights for, from lighting studio sets for videos, to walking around at night to take photos, to setting up at photobooths. These lights are just sooooo freaking handy. Plus...the best part about them.........it's the freaking battery life.....THEY LAST FOREVER. If I turn them on during a photobooth event, I'll often let it run at like full power for 5+ hours straight and they'll usually just work the entire time. Highly recommend this

I love these things... they run a long time, and the light is perfect!! While the iPhone app is a bit of a gimmick as far as I'm concerned, it works perfectly! Skip the ice light and buy 4 of these! Oh! And I'm a real person, not a fake review!!

Very very bright. Long battery life. But not easy to change the colors. Will not connect with any app. Sometimes a little too bright.

I purchased two of these, and when I change the color on one, the second will automatically match.. kind of cool I guess.. but not sure how to disable it if I want to actually do two different colors. ***EDIT: i figured out how to fix the lights syncing with each other. If you hold the Battery button down, it will switch to channels, click the battery again to set them to different channels. Cons: You can't control brightness for RGB lights, and the power connector is on the top.. kind of awkward if you have it on a stand.. which you probably will. The bag that it comes with does not fit the charger. Controls are a little awkward.. you cycle through each color from 0-99, which makes up the color you want. For example, if you want yellow, raise the red and green numbers, and lower the blue. The white lights are also kind of tricky, if you have both 3200 and 5500 set to 99, lowering one will lower the brightness overall but will eventually color shift to the other bulb. If you want true 5500, you need to lower the 3200 to 0, and only adjust the 5500. Pros: internal battery. I originally bought the older version and realized it didn't come with a battery or charger.. I don't own any Sony gear so I was looking at spending another $40-50 to power them up. I saw these and decided for a few bucks extra I could get something and not have to deal with yet another battery/charger type. White lights are VERY bright, enough to fill a standard sized room.

At first we were hesitant to purchase due to the price but liked the fact that the rechargeable battery is internal and includes a digital display. First impressions of the light is that it is well-made and durable for everyday use. The LEDs seems very bright and responsive to the adjustments on the dial and buttons on the control panel. It doesn’t take long to understand how the device chooses the color, although, some clear instructions would help the learning curve. We enjoy the fact that there is a threaded insert on the bottom so that it can be mounted to a trim-pod for hand-off use. Overall we are pleased with the purchase!"

I have the first version of the YN360 and i loved it. The thing with it is that you have to get an external battery. Thats wasnt the issue, the issue was that the battery would die if not charged every few days. I love the way that you can change the colors off of the smartphone or tablet. I took the plung and got the new version. I cant be happyer with the buy. Its just as amazing as the first one with an internal battery. The best thing about the internal battery is that it seems to last forever. If you need an led light for video or pictures GET THIS!!!!

Bought this at the request of an online photography workshop I took. Greats for adding in colors in which you can help story tell your images. Overall the light is very versatile and useful for on the go situations. Highly reccomend for videographers and photographers.

They bearly last 2 hours (on white lights only on lowest settings). That wouldn't be as much as an issue if you could plug them in but they have the plug on the top of the light so you have a cord hanging from the light. Very poor desgin. Very disappointed in these lights would not purchase again.
