Leaves my hair shiny and silver

I am trying to incorporate the Curly Girl Method into my hair care routine. This shampoo has a few ingredients that "still need more research" according to Curlsbot. Here is the full list of ingredients in case anyone is curious. I couldn't find anywhere online. I typed this off the back of the actual bottle. Aqua (water/eau), sodium c14-16 olefin sulfonate, cocamidopropyl betaine, cocamide dea, acrylates copolymer, glycerin, polyquarternium-7, parfum (fragrance), disodium edta, phenoxyethanol, ethylhexylglycerin, ci 60730 (ext. violet 2), ci 60725 (violet 2), ci77891 ( titanium dioxide), mica, peg-12 dimethicone.

The shampoo lathers up good and the conditioner is super creamy. I was a little worried when I saw the super deep purple color, but everything washed out well and didn't stain the shower. I didn't see much change in the brightness or brassiness of my blonde hair but it felt very fluffy and not particularly moisturized. I also got some issues with scalp flaking after using it. I have sensitive skin and some products have this effecton me. I also don't care very much for the mint scent, so I guess it wasn't meant to be for me.

Wife uses it. The shampoo is a deep purple that stains the shower once rinsed. Not permanently though. The stuff if much darker than other types. Does good on maintaining hair color and the conditioner works quite well too. Overall for the price it beats all the other purple shampoos on Amazon imo.

I try all of the things I review on these pages, and this arrived right before my annual holiday hair dye party where I try to fool my relatives into thinking I’m waaaaay younger than I am, even though they’ve all known me my entire life and know exactly how old I am right down to the time and day of the week I was born. I don’t even know what time I was born. Anyway, I came up with a sort of rust colored concoction for this year’s lie, and boy, did that post dye brass finish need some taming. I was getting dizzy from the glare. Three or four days of using this VR Purple shampoo and conditioner toners and my entire brass section disappeared from the bandstand. In other words, it worked brilliantly, and now I’m a nice quiet shade of Auburn. The only down side here is that the scent of both products could use some attention. It’s neither bad or good, but just sort of industrial, but that’s easily obscured with a squirt of cologne or hairspray, or even Febreze (just kidding). The VR Purple Duo is a fine set of hair are products at a great price. It will last for a long time too. You should be pleased with it.
