Dyson 966489-01 Soft Roller Cleaner Head, Compatible Only with Dyson V6 Models

I am very satisfied with this item, works perfectly with my Dyson. It picks up everything, and works so well on hardwood floor. The design is great, easy to maneuver around the small spaces. It's very smooth on the floor, no scratching.

It's an interesting (and weird) design for a vacuum. I was skeptical at first, expecting dust & debris to stick to the soft cleaner roll inside... but it remains surprisingly clean after vacuuming all day, even on the dirtiest surfaces. I'm obviously no engineer, but Dyson clearly did proper work on this. For as unorthodox as the design is, it works very well without any issues sucking up even the smallest of debris on hardwood floors. I really recommend this for anyone who has non-carpet floors. For those concerned about whether it will work with the V6 models... the answer is YES it will. Just be sure to buy the specific one designed for the V6 model on this page. The ones designed for the other models like the V7, V11, etc. are NOT cross-compatible. You cannot switch the parts between the different Dyson cordless vacuums, so be sure to purchase the correct part for the specific Dyson vacuum that YOU have (else you'll end up with the cleaner head that doesn't fit yours, as some reviewers here have shown). Overall, it works very well. It's just pricey for what it is, but the Dyson tax is expected. You won't be disappointed, even if your wallet might hurt a bit.

No longer worried about vacuuming hard wood floors. The product picks up all dirt and fiber and most hard shape items. The roller is soft but it handles clean up quickly. Great product!

Is a perfect fit for my 11 year old Dyson vacuum. Quality looks the same as my original Soft Roller Cleaner Head!.

Works great for getting day to day dust, pet fur, and light dirt from our hardwood floors. Perfect for quick sweeps or prep before mopping.

This hardwood floor motorhead is the perfect replacement for the one I had that kicked the bucket. I have a 10 year old DC59 that is still going very strong, but started smelling funny because the motor in my old attachment was beginning to go. The official Dyson website doesn't sell this attachment anymore, so I'm happy to have found it here. IMy 10 year old vacuum is brand new again and a joy to use!

OMG. I have a 7 year old v6 animal and just replaced the head it feels like I got a new one. Even better than original head. I was worried about whether it would fit well before ordering, but it fits really well. Highly recommend.
