When it came to handing out birthday presents, this airplane launcher stole the show. Its new owner was delighted with it, and could not have been more pleased. Well done Amazon!

I bought this for my grandson’s 3rd birthday. It has a gun to launch the planes, and 3 planes which were all different colours. You easily put the planes together as they come in two parts, the wing and the main body, by sliding the wing through the middle of the main body of the plane. The planes are lightweight which helps them to fly further but are also reasonably safe. This was so much fun to use that even my 6 year old grandson was playing with it. These will have a limited life time as the planes are light and I guess easily breakable if not supervise by an adult when in use, but let’s be honest so many toys belonging to younger kids don’t last long. I know this was very popular with my grandkids and I am thankful for that.

This is a fab and fun toy , which works well . Ideal for outdoor usage. Nowadays it seem to be hard to find toys that are not digital based so this was a nice find. Don’t expect this toy to last for ages as the planes are a light weight polystyrene and a little fragile , the gun itself is also not of great quality but does the job. Even if the planes last a while I suspect the gun will probably give up the ghost. However on a positive note , the planes and gun are easy to use and really fun . As the planes are so lightweight they fly really well. Expect to see dads having as much fun as the kids using this. All in all an excellent fun toy that does what is expected . A bit on the expensive side due to the low quality launcher and planes . However this is a superb stocking filler and recommended . Just don’t expect it to last for ever.

The Grandchildren really loved this. The planes fly very well and can do loop the loops and turns. Gave them a half hour of of pure enjoyment untill the launcher broke. But then it entertained a PhD and a company director for six hours trying to fix it - which they did eventually to much satisfaction to all. In fairness it does say to prime the launcher before you fit the airplane, but you try to get a five year old to do that.

I can't comment on the toy itself - which may well be very good for all I know - but I was very disappointed by the packaging and found the item to be unsuitable as a gift. I bought this as a gift for a 9 year old boy. I found the branding on the box to be very poor quality, looking like something that might cost £4.99 from a bargain store, rather than the (several multiples) of that price actually paid on amazon. The images on the box looked very babyish, featuring a toddler holding the plan and a prominent "3+" age recommendation (whereas all of the marketing on amazon shows older children and adults enjoying the toy). I returned the item, as I didn't feel it made a suitable gift or reflected the quality I would expect for the price paid.
