Once hooked up, great experience!
I know more than most about computers, but even so, it took hours to get this monitor correctly hooked up to my Dell XPS laptop using a WAVLINK docking station. It gave me an image, but first it was a narrow band stretched out between two large black bars top and bottom. Then it was all correct across the screen, but lower resolution. I asked a LOT of questions to AI search engines and sometimes received conflicting suggestions, but eventually got it all worked out. Total time: Nearly 5 hours, which included many reboots. But, in the end, the 5120x1440 43" screen looks and works BEAUTIFULLY. Just be prepared as you *may* have to do some troubleshooting to get it working right. My Dell laptop is 3 years old. I would expect less hassle with a newer computer ...

Great monitor
I had some hesitancy about getting an ultra-wide vs a two screen setup, but this is amazing! Quite immersive, but not at all distracting. I use it for work and will have several windows open, such as several windows for multi tasking and even space for a window of background noise from an old show while I work (recently the OG Mission Impossible, but usually the OG Perry Mason). It connects with my Mac without any issue via the included USB C cable: just plug it in to the right port on the back of the monitor, which it specifies. Love it. The speakers aren’t the best, but they’re not terrible either, but I usually use headphones anyway. Highly recommend. The blue light settings are also very nice.

The monitor is fantastic!
The monitor is fantastic! I love the curved display, which makes it easy to see the entire screen and immerses you in the viewing experience as the screen wraps around your field of view.

(Five Stars - My Cockpit View Just Leveled Up!)
Attention, fellow mech pilots and space-fleet commanders! Unit 734, callsign "Vanguard," reporting in with an essential upgrade for your command station. My latest acquisition from Amazon, the Samsung 49” Business Curved Ultrawide Dual QHD Computer Monitor (LS49C954UANXZA, 2024 edition), has fundamentally transformed my combat simulations and strategic planning. This isn't just a monitor; it's a window into the battlefield. The 49-inch curved ultrawide Dual QHD display wraps around my field of vision, providing an immersive cockpit experience that rivals direct neural links. I can track multiple enemy signatures, monitor my mech's vital systems, and overlay tactical maps all at once, without a single break in the visual continuity. The 120Hz refresh rate is absolutely critical for maintaining situational awareness during high-G maneuvers and dodging plasma fire – every frame counts when you're facing down a hostile alien fleet. The VESA DisplayHDR 400 renders the explosive energy weapons and the intricate details of alien landscapes with stunning realism and vibrant color, making every engagement feel incredibly visceral. Connectivity is robust with USB-C, DisplayPort, and HDMI, allowing seamless integration with my mech's diagnostic tools and my personal comms unit. The built-in speakers deliver clear comms from my squad and the satisfying thud of my mech's footsteps. Long hours in the simulator used to strain my optical sensors, but the Eye Care technology on this unit is a game-changer, allowing for extended operational periods without fatigue. The height-adjustable stand ensures perfect ergonomic alignment, whether I'm in full combat posture or reviewing post-mission analytics. For any pilot, strategist, or even just a dedicated enthusiast of grand space operas, this Samsung monitor is an indispensable piece of hardware. It's not just about seeing the fight; it's about being in it. Prepare for total immersion!

Does not work as a dock replacement
Having used the monitor now for a couple of months, I must say that I'm not impressed for the marketing. I bought this monitor to replace my dual 4k setup and to de-clutter my desk. In theory I was getting rid of my dock, cabling for one monitor and replace it all with a single USB-C from the monitor to the laptop. The good: Great display, crisp QHD if it works (more about that in the bad). USB-C powers my laptop and USB keyboard / mouse are passed through to whatever device is connected to the USB-C. The bad: As a docking station replacement, this is an utter failure. QHD only works when connected through HDMI (Samsung support confirmed this limitation). Additionally, the USB-C passthrough of attached devices only works when there's no HDMI attached. the issue I have is that my laptop only has (2) USB-C's and I now am back to a cabling mess :/ Bottom line is that the marketing ambition has severely exceeded the capability of this monitor when all I wanted was to have an easy plugging in of my work PC to my home office...

Great Productivity Monitor, but Missing Remote Support
Overall, I’m very happy with this 49” Samsung Business curved ultra wide. The screen quality is excellent, and it’s been a huge upgrade for my work‑from‑home setup. I often juggle large spreadsheets and multiple documents, and having all that space on one screen has made a big difference. Part of why I chose this model was using my son’s gaming version, which works with his Samsung Frame TV remote. That experience was fantastic, so I was disappointed to learn this business model doesn’t support any remote control. The physical buttons are tiny, close together, and hard to use accurately. If Samsung has an aftermarket or third‑party remote solution that works with this model, I’d love to know. Aside from the control issue, it’s an excellent monitor.

I purchased this monitor in July 2024. It still performs as expected. I really like the fact that it has two USB-C video inputs.
