Great all-natural food coloring powder
I really love this all-natural food coloring. It worked really well in a rainbow cake, and for coloring pasta. For the cake I used an entire box of 10 packets (5 colors), and a packet of red velvet. For the pasta I used a box of 3 packets (3 colors). A few notes: Nice coloring, but expensive for a large cake and icing. Could taste the red and yellow when I used a lot in the test cake I made. The yellow permanently stained my wilton cake pan. A dark purple is hard to achieve following the directions, next time I'll try using red instead of pink in the mixture. Update: I keep coming back to this food coloring, it's my favorite brand. I recommend dissolving the powder in a small amount of liquid first, letting it sit for a few minutes, stirring until smooth, and then stirring in to whatever you're making.

Perfect for a dye-free class birthday treat!
I am not a pro by any means, just a mom. A few kids in her class have a no-dye restriction so I wanted to make sure her bday treats were dye free so everyone could have one. They were a hit! And the colors were beautiful. I will definitely buy again.

Works well with icing.
Nice alternative to artificial dyes. We made a rainbow with icing and it turned out well. More pastel than super bright but it looked elegant. No flavor.

Pricey, but Good
Love the ingredients and didn’t change taste in a gross way. Added to homemade buttercream. Entire blue packet in about 4 cups of frosting made a very pale blue, but it worked ok. Mixed in fine with mixer (hand mixing dry mix into frosting wasn’t enough). Pink packet in small amount of frosting (about a cup), made a dark pink and added a slight taste, but not bad. Colors are not fake, so they are not bright and true shades, but pretty and get the idea across. Will buy again, but not frequently due to price.

They’re ok!
Love that these are dye free! Colors are ok but they aren’t super vibrant and seem to stay grainy if putting it directly into frosting. Also, one packet doesn’t do a lot of frosting so using it for a party you would need multiple which adds up.

So expensive but the best natural coloring I have found
I have tried so many cheaper options but they just don't hold a candle to these. You do have to use a lot, and it's taxing to mix because it's powder. But the colors are so beautiful and you can use it to color white chocolate as well as frosting and fondant!! No weird tastes or smells. I save them for special occasions since they are so expensive but I love them! Everything in this photo was colored with these

Love! And...can be used with fondant :)
Chemical free, vegan, gluten free, non-gmo, beautiful colors, easy to combine...what's not to love? I will not use any food coloring other than ColorKitchen. Also, these can absolutely be used with fondant! Decorated my daughter's birthday cake with some roses crafted out of homemade marshmallow fondant, and the ColorKitchen powders worked beautifully. As a guide, I followed the information that I found on their website: "When working with heated recipes, like a gummy candy, mix colors into a liquid first and then add into the cooling phase for maximum color vibrancy. You can make a gel by mixing powders with a very small amount of water or glycerin (approx ¼ tsp liquid to 1 ¼ tsp color to make a paste) for easy blending," and I was able to successfully create the pink and green fondant that I needed for the occasion. Love!!

YUCK!
Yuck - Maltodextrin is the first ingredient! Maltodextrin has an even higher glycemic index (GI) than table sugar. This means that maltodextrin can cause a sharp increase, or spike, in people's blood sugar Maltodextrin may be made from corn, and it’s increasingly harder to find corn that hasn’t been genetically modified. This product isn’t as natural as their advertising would have you believe
