Red Heart Super Saver Yarn, 3 Pack, Fruity Stripe 3 Count

No, it’s not soft. But there are plenty of projects that require a sturdy yarn. (Think witches’ hats). If needed, you can always wash your finished creation to soften it. This yarn is bright, and stripes nicely. It was a bonus to me that I received 3 in the same dye lot. I wasn’t necessarily expecting that. The reasons to order on Amazon? Availability. Price. Most important to me, is that I can return it if the manufacturer is trying to off load a bunch of yarn that wasn’t dyed well. I have previously ordered this brand through a fabric/craft store, only to understand that it was a good price because the colors were not as vibrant as they normally are. But it would have cost me to return it, so I felt stuck. Hello, Amazon. And thank you to Red Heart for standing behind your product here, if that’s the case.

Biggest rip off ever. This is the smallest thing of yarn I have ever seen. Looks like they sent half a roll. Sending it back

I love Red Heart yarn, especially for things that have contact with your skin. It comes in a great variety of colors - both solid and variegated - and Amazon has a great selection to choose from. I usually buy the 7 oz. or larger skeins as you get more for your money and I can always find ways to use any leftover pieces. This yarn works up very easily, can be machine washed when needed and is very soft to the touch. It's reasonably priced and usually arrives within a few days. It's so much easier to order from Amazon than to drive to the craft store, where I usually buy more than just yarn!Linneaann

This Red Heart Super Saver Stripes yarn came in a three pack. It came quickly and well packaged. The yarn is soft, not super soft but not scratchy either. That said we won’t be making wearable items so it’s not really an issue. The problem is that one of the colour change was knotted together. This doesn’t show outwardly on the ball of yarn so I’m not sure how many more of these knotted colour surprises there are within the ball. The initial colour change from yellow to orange on the octopus head was not knotted, and as the yarn is a “stripes” yarn vs ombré, the changes from one colour to the next may show up in a similar striped pattern. Perhaps this is a Red Heart one-off quality control issue—just hoping there aren’t anymore knots.Update: I wanted to post this update after using a significant portion of the yarn, that no more knots were found. For my purposes, this is an excellent yarn, value for money.

Gorgeous pattern if you are doing planned pooling with this color but I find the yarn not as soft as i would want for a blanket. If youw ant to know how to make the pattern emerge google how to do planned pooling
