I needed something that would cover a place on the sides of an upholstered chair where my cat's claws had shredded the fabric. The dark green MastaPlasta was the perfect color and the size was right to cut in half for use on each side. I wondered if the adhesive would work on the fabric. It adhered quickly and easily, and has stayed in place for months. Best of all, the cat doesn't care for the texture and no longer scratches the chair--it has been replaced as his favorite scratching place with a post designed for that purpose--and we are both happy now. This is an excellent product, versatile for various repair jobs, and in several colors that should work for many pieces of furniture. While the leather patches do show on the fabric chair, they are not obvious, and are certainly an improvement to the look of shredded fabric!

When looking for a leather patch, you're not sure if one works until you try it. I bought a dark green MastaPlasta to patch my dark green leather chair and man it worked beautifully. It almost matched my chair, one would have to look closely to see a difference and it sticks amazingly well. Just be sure before you peal off the cover on the back to reveal the "sticky side" that you've already decided how you are going to put it in place because once it's down, it's down!

This was just a quick fix, I didn’t want to get my therapy table totally reupholstered at this time. The color is pretty good match or close enough. And it seems like it’s thick and tough. I only wish I had trimmed some of the edges of the cracks before I applied it because you can see the contours of the damaged area through the patch. The area I laid the patch on top of have been fixed previously with vinyl repair kit, but that didn’t last forever. I didn’t want to try the same type of repair again. But the main thing is it looks a lot better and will give my therapy table a little more life until I can get it reupholstered. Also the feel of the patch is nice and soft.

Our leather sofa is a beloved family piece from the 1960s and hated to get rid of it. We had the springs replaced years ago and finally the leather has begun to crack. I doubted that the dark green would match, but surprisingly it does. Yes, one of the larger patches is noticeable, but the two smaller are not. This will give us more time with our beloved sofa! Great product!

The first one worked well but my subsequent order the patch peeled off badly and is now an eyesore. I thoroughly cleaned and dried the leather prior to application but that did not seem to help. It might work for you. Good luck.

I purchased this product to repair some cracking on the sides of a leather chair cushion. The color match is a near perfect and the peel and stick, custom cut patches went in place beautifully. Great adhesion, no gaps!

Goodheavy material. I used it to cover some tears in the arm of a leather chair. Good adhesive on the straight pieces....I tried to cover the end of arm, which didn’t work out as well as I would have liked, but I think with some additional adhesive it would be good. I bought green which was a good color. SO hard to match existing chair, but very close. Happy with the purchase as it makes the chair quite presentable again!
