Works great use it in my duck coop, works wonderfully!!

Purchased to help eliminate heat in large shed. Vented through side initially, however this fan requires full direct Sun to work, so it only worked intermittently. Remounted with ducting so it faces straight up, and now it works almost all day long eliminating the heat. Not sure how much air it moves, but it’s enough for a large shed.

It looks well-made; however, there are some issues with the solar fan. First, you MUST have in Direct sunlight, will not work with any shade whatsoever. Second, there is no battery bank so, when the Direct sunlight is gone, it stops working all together. I was going to add a battery bank but, there is no way to disassemble the Vent to wire a battery bank in.

It worked for about a month than just stopped working. Poor quality, do not recommend.

I purchased the Spartan Sol Solar Ventilation Fan for my outhouse, and unfortunately, it’s been a disappointment. The fan will only work if it’s pointed directly at the sun, and even then, it barely operates for about 3 hours on a sunny day. I had to angle it just right to get it working, and even when it does, the performance is underwhelming. What’s worse is that the fan’s power seems to be weakening each time I use it, so I’m expecting it to fail completely soon. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend this product. If you’re looking for a reliable solar fan, I’d suggest looking for one with a separate solar panel for better performance. This one just doesn’t cut it.

Believe the other reviews--direct sunlight REQUIRED. It whizzes along just fine with full sun, but even passing a finger over the panel and shading a few of the solar cells brings the fan to an immediate halt. I used it to replace an old sailboat solar vent that I had installed on a shed using a 4" ABS 90 deg fitting with pipe. Unlike the old failed sailboat vent it's a loose fit not a snug one on the pipe, but hopefully it'll stay on during winter windstorms. It seems to work OK when running. I held a piece of paper up to the hole on the inside of the shed and this fan sucked the paper tight to the wall. It does a good job of moving the gas smell from lawn equipment out of the shed during the hot summer days.

Works like a champ. Of course you have to have sun. With direct sunlight it pulls enough air that I could hear it flowing through a 4-inch ABS pipe from several feet away.

Purchased two of these for waste vents on my house roof. I was getting a sewer smell in the laundry area, checked no clogged vent pipes. House is 55 yrs old so a bit of smell is to be expected. These apply a gentle negative pressure, the fan is about the size of a computer rear fan. Since using these there has been a lot less smell or none at all. I had to get an adapter at Homedepot to downsize the pipe diameter.
