It works just fine and the price is about right.

Changing what I was going to write (and apparently didn’t finish). Needed to replace my original robi battery and right off the bat, this was soo much better. Now it’s been 2-months and the battery no longer will charge (I’ve been through 3 chargers) and it’s too late to return. I have an edger and blower and it won’t work on either. Chargers flash red & green at same time

For household use, I prefer these smaller batteries (this is 1.5 Ah). They weigh less than the bigger ones, so I just make sure I've got a spare charged up in case the battery runs down, but usually I've got more than enough charge for whatever I'm working on (I most often use it with a drill, but occasionally a small hedge trimmer). I like the newer style. With the press of a button, it lights up and lets me know that it's charged and ready. I also like that this is an actual Ryobi and not a knock-off.

I am very dissatisfied and disappointed. I bought this battery because my current battery is doing the same thing. Out of 3 of my Ryobi batteries only my 6a battery charges. Sad this one is brand new never been used just came in the mail today. When both lights flash it won’t take a charge. It’s supposed to just flash green. Edited the very next night: I received a replacement battery within 24 hrs and this one worked and fully charged as it was supposed to . Now hopefully it withstands some time because out of the 3 I have seen so far 2 didn’t work and hadn’t been used.

Charges fast

Purchase this this product on October 8, 2024. Have used it approximately 10 times and the battery is completely dead now, six months later. I have never purchased a Ryobi battery from amazon.com and life expectancy with these batteries from Home Depot are stellar. This battery was dead in six months which I believe it is supposed to go longer than that given Ryobi’s reputation. My advice to people buying these batteries from Amazon with only a short amount of return time should buy from a place they can actually bring it back if it doesn’t work, for a refund or new battery.
