Useful and Versatile: Invisibly Hem without Sewing
I started using this product one day when my sewing machines were in the shop being repaired and I needed to hem some pants. I folded the edge, placed flat strips of this material between the fold, and ironed. The result was a perfect invisible hem with absolutely no needle or thread marks. I was so impressed, I redid many of the hems in my other pants and skirts. I even started experimenting with quick alterations of shirts. The amount in this order lasted through several pairs of pants and two skirts. I have a lot of clothes, so I soon ordered more and yet more. I haven’t had any problem so far with the adhesive coming apart. On the other hand, the adhesion isn’t so strong that I can’t pull the hem open and redo sections I’m not happy with. I tried a stronger, thicker adhesive tape with better adhesion, but didn’t like it as much for hemming (though I loved it for craft projects and appliqués). Whereas the thinner tape produced a hem that was soft and liable, the stronger and heavier tape produced a stiff hem. Though a stiffer hem might work well with a heavier fabric, I was so dissatisfied with the look of it on light to medium-weight fabrics, I opened the hem, picked out the tape and redid it with the lighter weight tape. Cotton fabrics adhered the best. After that, cotton blends and polyester did well. I found that very thin fabrics didn’t require as much heat as thicker ones. This being the case, I did use the tape successfully on a wide variety of weights and types of cloth. When the fabric fold was too thick for good adhesion, I stuffed a small additional wad of adhesive tape inside and ironed it on both sides. Where it still didn’t hold well enough, I added just enough stitches to make it firmly secure. One further advantage of lighter weight adhesive tape was the ability to use it twice on the same hem for better hold: once in the first fold, then again in the second. It created a hem so secure, I was able to do more adventurous alterations on clothes, such as turning button-down shirts and blouses into cute jackets. If you’re unsure how suitable the product is going to be for any particular hem or project, I suggest using the iron at the hottest safe setting for the fabric and spot testing it to see if it’s heat enough to activate the adhesion. It helps to iron both sides of the hem, and give it a bit of steam (for fabrics that will withstand it). Overall, it’s a great product that I now buy frequently in generous quantities.

Does the job
I bought this to help me fix the length on a skirt. I didn’t want to cut the skirt so when I found out I could use iron-on tape I ordered these. They worked great with the skirt because the material was pretty thin. Whenever I would make a mistake, it was very easy to heat up and readjust or take off. When I tried it on jeans, ironing it on took longer and I’m assuming it was due to the denim being a thicker material. If you’re going to throw your clothes/fabric in the dryer after washing, be careful because the tape might come off.

Works Great!!
Hemmed 2 pairs of pants and 5 shirts that were otherwise too long and just sat in my dresser.

Highly recommended!
The adhesive quality is excellent. The tape adheres securely to fabric, creating a strong, long-lasting bond without the need for stitching. It’s incredibly easy to use—just place the tape between fabric layers and press with an iron. The instructions are straightforward, and the tape bonds quickly, making it a convenient solution for hemming or repairing clothes. One of the highlights is its versatility. I used it to fix hems on jeans, shorten skirts, and even mend a torn seam, and it worked flawlessly every time. The tape also withstands regular washing, maintaining its adhesion and integrity through multiple washes. The two rolls provide ample supply for several projects, and the 1/2 inch width is just right for most standard hemming and repair tasks. The rolls are compact and easy to store, which is a bonus. Overall, the Outus Fabric Fusing Tape is a fantastic product for anyone looking for a reliable and easy-to-use adhesive tape for fabric. It offers great value and performs exceptionally well for various sewing and repair needs. Highly recommended!

Hit and Miss But super soft
Sometimes sticks sometimes does not. It is very soft and perfect for seam repair but like I said I had to add double sided tape to keep the whoke seam strip attached. Needs a little improvement in the stickiness.

Not quite 27?
*Update: this did not hold up in the wash, not even with cold water on the delicate cycle. These are supposed to be 27 yards each, but there is more black than white. I don't know if I got short changed on the white or got lucky with extra on the black. It was so cheap it wasn’t worth the hassle of returning it for a new one. Other than the yardage difference, it worked well on the hem of a polyester taffeta skirt with velvet flocking. The adhesive didn't melt with the synthetic setting on my iron so I used the silk/wool setting and a cotton towel as a heat buffer and pressed for 8-10 seconds per section. The glue didn't bleed through to the face side and it seems to be holding well. I might update this review if it doesn't hold in the wash.

Works really well
This stuff is awesome. I'm not very good at hemming but with this stuff it makes me a pro. You simply cut what you need and iron it and it's done. I have washed my pants several times and it still holds up.

I recently started making my own clothing but struggled with the hemming part fot any tops I made. I do not own a serger. I thought I could glue it instead but favric glue made the fabric ticker and bulky. Adhesive fabric liner are only sticky on one side and then I found the tape version and gave it a try. Supper easy to use and clean up any melted tape. Not sure if its waterproof but you can do a top stich to secure it.
