ET-4800 EZ PZ set up and start up. Prints and scans just fine
An excellent home printer. And why did I purchase such? I had an Epson WF-520 for nearly ten years. But neglect and lack of use caused the printer head to get gunked up. I cleaned the print heads using a solution of 95% Etoh and glass cleaner (about fifty/fifty), a syringe with a plastic tube attached and LOTS of paper towel strips. It was moderately successful but I was never able to get it back to like new printing. I looked over several new printers and wanted to stay with Epson because of ease of use (copy, scanning, printing). Seems as tank printers are the way to go these days. So I ordered the ET-4800. Got here in only a couple of days. Setup was pretty easy, just follow the instructions either via the documentation included or online version. I have pinted and scanned a color test page. I used the built in SmartScan feature without having to think about it much. I am quite satisfied with the results. By the way, there is no automatic two side printing. You actually have to get off your b---, take out the first printing, turn it over and refeed the stack. I was used to doing that with the old WF-520 and never had a problem. I will now set up a once a week, automatic scheduled printing task. I will just have to make sure there is paper on hand. Lack of use is the killer of these inkjet machines regardless of manufacturer.

Happy
After going through 3 Canon printers and $$$ inkjet carts, my 10 month old Canon died. So, I decided to spend more for an Epson, that shouldn't be an ink hog like the Canon Pixar. Set up took longer than antisipated, due to the nasty Canon software having a "hell no, we won't go" attitude. But I finally got it all set up, tuned to my WiFi and have printed several pages of documents. My only complaint it there is nothing describing what each function does.

Be warned about Epson's service issue built into their printers
First, these printers are great, I have no complaints. My complaint is how Epson does business w their printers. So here is what they do not tell you. I bought this as an on hand back up for when the same model printer I have in my office dies. I use the printer quite a bit but Epson has something built into the use of the printer where they REQUIRE you to take it in to get serviced, and until you do, you can not print. The printer will say "waste ink container full" or something to that regard. Changing the tank is easy but you still have to take it in to get the counter reset. I recently had to swap this printer for my one at the office because it did die as I knew it would. I have had Epson's before and I get about 2 years out of the printer and it dies due to this service issue. Like I said, they then require you to take it in for service at an authorized center. In the states of ND, SD, WY, MN, IA, NB, KS, which is my region, there is ONE place in SD listed as a service center according to their map. You can ship it there if you live far away but that is ridiculous. Essentially then, the printer is useless and you will throw it away and have to get a new one. I have done this w 4 printers now, getting about 2 years use each time. I am now going to try and HP tank printer and see if I have better luck. Epson's printers are really good but I refuse to shell out more money where I KNOW in about 2 years time it will stop working, not because it is broke, it is written into the software, and they will require you to get it serviced. If you are ok knowing in 2 years your printer may die, then I'd say you will be happy with the printer. Sadly for Epson, I have told MANY people to get their printers over the years and I will no longer be doing that.

This thing can hold some ink
bought the Epson EcoTank ET-4800 after getting tired of constantly buying overpriced ink cartridges for my old printer. After doing a bit of research, the idea of refillable ink tanks really appealed to me—and I’m honestly glad I made the switch. Setup was pretty easy, even for someone who’s not super tech-savvy. The instructions were clear, and filling the ink tanks was way less messy than I expected. It even came with enough ink to last me months (maybe longer), which already makes it feel like a smart investment. I use this mostly for work-from-home tasks and occasional school stuff for the kids. The print quality is crisp for both black and white and color documents. I’ve printed everything from reports to coloring pages and even some photos—it’s not professional photo quality, but more than good enough for home use. Things I really like: Super affordable to run. Haven’t had to think about buying ink since I got it. All-in-one convenience. Scanning and copying are a breeze, especially with the automatic document feeder. Wireless printing. I can print from my laptop or even my phone, which has been really handy. A few drawbacks: It doesn’t do automatic double-sided printing—you have to flip the pages yourself. It’s not the fastest printer, especially if you’re printing a lot of color pages. The build is pretty lightweight plastic, so it doesn’t feel ultra-premium—but it gets the job done. All in all, it’s been a reliable and budget-friendly addition to my home office. If you're someone who prints regularly and wants to avoid the cartridge money pit, I’d definitely recommend giving the ET-4800 a try.

J’aurais aimer qu’elle imprime recto et verso, mais je n’avais pas porter attention. Sinon elle est très bonne et n’étais pas difficile à monter.

I purchased this printer to replace a HP inkjet printer. I thought that the mega tank and other features would satisfy my needs. I liked the mega tank feature, I wouldn’t have to be replacing ink cartridges like the HP printer. What I didn’t like about the Epson ET 4800 printer was the lack of duplex printing and scanning to email or memory stick (usb), features that should be standard on all printers by now.

Works well.

This was the most complicated setup procedure I've ever experienced with an all-in-one printer/scanner/fax. Of course, who uses fax any more? The computer could not find the printer, so I had to use the tiny LCD screen on the printer to identify the wifi network and then manually enter the long Bell password. Instructions were sadly lacking for this procedure. Filling the ink tanks was easy; the bottles are self-emptying, but the magenta bottle dribbed some ink after being removed from the ink tank. We wanted an ink-tank printer because ink cartridges hold a ridiculous small amount of ink and are very expensive. Setting up the second laptop was much, much easier. The printer feels flimsy, but it feeds the paper OK and the print quality is outstanding. So if you can get past the complicated setup procedure, this printer should serve you well.
