I wouldn't do a bow with this, but...
The hair was coarse as it should be, and looked dyed but may have been natural. I was using it to upgrade a string on my Shetland Gue so I could move the drone down a full fifth. There was enough hair to do that after the broken pieces (many!) were combed out. The really annoying thing was that they coiled it up before the superglue on the ends had dried and some of that got on the hair. Fortunately it was near enough the end so I could cut it away but if I had been trying to rehair a bow (which I have done...once) I would not have made it. So as raw hair, great. Did just what I needed. For doing a cello bow? Um...
