Brilliant unit.
The Air Con came yesterday in perfect condition on a sack truck, which was very pleasing to see rather than it being carried in a physical way, which would prove to be very difficult considering just how heavy this unit is. My greatest love is the "Real Feel Technology" which must be a new idea on this brand? it works by the CPU analysing the "temperature and humidity" within the room, then "automatically" maintains a perfect environment to be in. The Real Feel Technology saves money on the running cost due to it "only" switching on automatically at short intervals when needed. There are three lights on the top of the unit which singly go off and on thus indicating to the user the correct or incorrect environment within the roomspace, it's amazing, it does all the thinking for you. The dB noise level is very pleasing for an Air Con because even the most expensive indoor Air Cons will still produce high levels of noise, that's just how they are. This unit however to my surprise is much quieter than any Air Cons I've ever owned before, it's "not" silent, not by any means, but, it's not overly noisy which should defo please the user. It really does cool the room down very quickly without taking centre stage in the noise department, one won't even know it's there if using the "Real Feel Technology" mode. I don't know how things will fare functioning wise from this unit as time goes by, because it's simply too soon to make such a judgment. If it keeps on working in this manner, I can highly recommend this unit with great confidence to anyone. A very pleasing unit that carries a hefty price for staying cool, hot sweaty days are not something many people enjoy enduring.

Definately not silent, but good cooling.
I have three of these and they do manage to keep my apartment (1800 sq ft) cool throughout when all three are on full. That's a lot more space then they are specified for which is very good, but I do need to close the sun blinds to stop direct sunlight coming in through the windows. In a single large room they cool it pretty easily. however, they are supposed to be the quietest on the market, yet seem pretty loud to me. When in the lounge, it's actually hard to hear the television over the noise of it. If you have it in whisper mode, it's better, but still gets louder when the compressor kicks in and of course can't cool as efficiently in that mode. probably one of the best types of portable aircon unit you can get, but still too loud of me, I'll end up getting a proper external compressor fitted I'm sure.

I like it :)
I have read a lot of comments/ reviews and compared some models and brands. Glad I picked this one. I think it works just fine. Very happy with purchase. Easy to set up (I purchased an Air Con window kit separately). After about 20 minutes and when the initial heat from the room is extracted, it really got to work cooling the air, there is a flap on the top of the machine which when activated distributes the breeze better. I put it on for 2 hours before bed and the large room was cool. It says 18 degrees on the machine is the lowest it goes which is true but it feels much cooler than that in real life. I had to use a duvet for the first time in weeks. It’s paired well with phone app. Yes, it’s a bit pricey but that’s because it a new model. I don’t mind paying an extra for quality. It seems very well made. Let’s get down to the nitty gritty …. NOISE! It’s an absolutely acceptable level for air con. It’s a gentle sound which I find quite soothing. (Maybe I am used to it as I have been used to basic fan for about 2 years prior). I have only used the sleep mode for half hour which cuts the sound down by 30 percent. To be honest the room was cool enough after having it on for a couple hours prior. I think another issue people have when reviewing is that its not like a fan you would have pointing at you for instant breeze which is what some people may expect. It’s a whole room cooler, not a fan if you know what i mean? There has also been many reviews about the hose too. The hose is quite long and I was surprised by this after reading the reviews but I am able to locate the air conditioner unit close to my window. Consideration should be made to where you are putting it in the room. If you aren’t able to put your machine that close to a window or door you should think about buying a different make with a longer hose. Overall I’m happy

Not worth the extra for the smart functions, remote has a huge design fault in connection
Bought this recently. Starts up at 900W, and goes down to 800W after 15 minutes or so. It's not quiet, portable ACs never are. Easily pushed down over 2 degrees in an hour in a 25sqm room, so cooling is also good. Now comes the bad part. Remote controller connection died out fast, reseted, died again in less than a single day. App is extremely bad, on first usage it was all great then it reported the device to be turned off even when it was on, later I couldn't even get to the starter page in the app. Completely unusable. Tried to get a solution from manufacturer, they told me it's withing return window and I should discuss this with Amazon. Not a single troubleshooting step or anything, just return the device so this is what I chose. De'longhi devices tend to work well but anything of a remote solution (coffee app or this app) is just better not to even try. So sad because it's a nice device but I'm sure I won't be replacing with another De'longhi.

More importantly though the other liquid had escaped again leaving a yellowy green stain and smelling like a mild curry powder
I used this unit 2 times, the first time after an hour the HL light appeared which meant the internal water tank was full, I emptied it. What I hadn't been aware of is that some other liquid from some other part of the unit had leaked and stained the carpet. We went away on holiday and on returning decided to use the unit, thinking the previous experience was a one off. It wasn't, after one hour the tank filled again and the unit switched off. More importantly though the other liquid had escaped again leaving a yellowy green stain and smelling like a mild curry powder, the resulting patch didn't really dry. I contacted De'Longhi direct and they said there is probably a motor fault which is causing the problem and the unit should be returned which is what I have arranged. When I first took the unit out of the box I noticed the casing was slightly damaged, it looked as though somebody had taken the case off and couldn't put it together properly then forced it. I took photos but couldn't find the right menus to inform/send to Amazon. The unit has now been collected and I am waiting a replacement so my review is a little unfair insofar as it reflects my bad experience not the performance of the unit. Amazon UK has been very helpful so far. I have tried to get the stain out but to no avail, it's still there. I hope the replacement is in a better state than the original. I honestly think, given the damage to the casing and motor fault, it is a reconditioned unit which hasn't worked, rather than new one. Just my view.

Excellent portable air conditioner.
Works very effectively as a cooling and dehumidifying device. Although not silent (no rational person would expect it to be), it is considerably quieter and very much more attractive than the cheaper, failed device it replaces in my home. Other reviewers complain that the WiFi capability and accompanying app aren’t good. I found that initial connection to WiFi is far easier if the unit is as close as possible to a WiFi router or repeater. Once the initial connection is made, the connection is reliable and the App does everything that you would want it to. I purchased mine from Amazon Warehouse at a fantastic discount. The packaging was damaged as expected but the unit and its accessories had only incredibly minor cosmetic imperfections that I had to search hard to find.

Great portable Air conditioning unit and very effective
Great portable Air conditioning unit and very effective; we was suffering from the rare flash unbareable summer high temperatures we get in the UK having had the British Gas Electrician remove our ceiling fans in the livingroom and bedroom after upgrading our fuse box and demanding nothing metal on the lighting so we needed another way of cooling a hot house and our sleepless nights. The De'Longhi PAC AN112 is exactly the right size and ability to deal with our requirements, we have a 20 Square metre livingroom and it dropped the temperature from 25 deg C down to a nice cool 18 deg C in about 20 minutes and even cooled the adjcent computer office room 2 degs C lower too. Advice to potential buyers, always buy an extension vent hose because the standard semi rigid hose supplied is not long enough to take the hot air outside the window. I purchased a flexible 6 metre 127mm vent hose at the same time I order this machine and it works great, slightly to long but it took the heat outside of the house. The air con has two modes, normal and silent, on silent you do have to turn the TV volume up slightly but it works. all the usual controls and does exact what it says in the video and advertisements. The remote control helps too, saves on you having to get up to change the temperature settings and even activate the silent mode if you wish. Wish I had bought this several years ago, a great purchase.

Very very good with a few buts
I’ve had this for a couple of months and it was an absolute lifesaver for the two days of proper summer we had. It cools the room really quickly, our medium sized living room cools down by about 0.5C in about 5 minutes. It seems pretty energy efficient but I’ll update that when we get our next electricity bill. A few things which might be an issue for some people...1. The noise. I love white noise so for me it’s perfect but you would likely have to turn up the tv when this is on. Even on silent mode. My babies find the noise soothing and sleep through it but my husband said it took a bit of getting used to. 2. If you have small children you’ll want to insure this as they seem to like putting objects into the rather large vent spaces. It’s not the air conditioners fault that my children feel like throwing things in, but I’ve seen other models with better child proofing eg smaller holes. My iPhone has been thrown in quite easily. It is possible to open the unit up to remove the objects. 3. It’s a bit bulky but it’s well designed and I think aesthetically pleasing 4. As with all portable ACs you need to install it and ideally seal off the window otherwise it would be inefficient. We got a mesh from Amazon which does a good enough job. 5. It can potentially be moved from room to room on the same floor as it has wheels but it’s very heavy so moving between floors would be tricky. All in all it’s a great device, even for the crazy price and I don’t know how we lived through previous summers without air conditioning.
