This is my favorite monofin so far for pool swimming. It is small enough to transport somewhat easily, and it is strong enough to give pretty good propulsion in pools and gentle waters. I don't think it would be strong enough to propel as effectively as flippers or a more solid monofin in waters with tide or flow, so please make sure you know basic mermaid safety before you try swimming with this or any other monofin in open water. This one is rather floppy, BUT that makes it look flowy and beautiful when swimming in gentle waters if you're going for a photoshoot or something. I'll add pictures to this review if I ever get around to doing that.I use this one in gym or hotel pools with leggings or swim bottoms as a fun workout, but have also used it with sling mermaid tail covers, and it looks beautiful with blue or green "sling" tail skins (which you may have to make on your own). I haven't heard of covers made specifically for the Luna, but some merfolk have said that the Mertailor Guppy or Magictail Pro tail skins will fit great over this monofin.I have size 10 US women's feet and find this comfortable, and it is easy to get out of when you get an inevitable foot cramp or any other reason. I'll warn that it does sink, so don't drop it anywhere deep if you can prevent it!Overall I'd recommend this monofin for beginner mermaids looking for a comfortable and safe monofin to start out and mess around in, or for anyone who wants to swim in a monofin in gentle or still waters. It is SO FUN!!!

My 8 yr old had seen her first video on YouTube of real life mermaids... from their, the obsession began. She desperately wanted to be a mermaid! So after a year of teaching her the dolphin kick and the proper swim and breathing techniques, she had earned herself a good quality fin. So I began the search and started watching videos on others opinions of the best ones on the market. After trying to find the right one, we decided the Luna fin would be the best match for our little mermaid! So so happy we did! It’s adjustable and fairly comfortable for her. The push through the water is pretty good with each kick, however if your looking for a monofin to make you fly through the water, I don’t feel like this is the best fit. It’s pretty floppy which does have an amazing natural movement but obviously the stiffer monofin will give you more thrust through the water. For a beginner fin for my now 9 yr old, it’s FANTASTIC and my daughter loves it! So incredibly happy we made this purchase. My ONLY complaint about this product is the top of the foot inserts on the fin, do cause a bit of irritation from rubbing on my little ones foot after consistent wear and swim. I feel like this could be easily resolved with the use of a neoprene sock so it wasn’t a big deal for us. Fortunately my daughter has developed some calluses from frequent use so it hasn’t been a big discomfort for her. HIGHLY RECOMMEND FOR NEW LITTLE MERMAIDS AND MERMEN!

Be warned, the straps can easily break.I love swimming with fins and finally decided to buy the Finis Luna. I took it for a test run this morning and it felt great!However, the strap broke when I went for a second swim this evening. I was strapping my left foot and poof, the hook fell off and sunk to the bottom of the pool.Disappointed, but I'll give this fin another try.

Great for a beginner mermaid,Biggest and only problem I have with these was the silicone straps snapped after 2 months of continuous use. Not I'm out $60. I never hung it or held it by the straps and always rinsed it after use. Never left it in a car either. Plus side it does fit in a finfun adult basic tail. And amazing swim speed while still having that mythical tail flop. Much better than finfuns monofin. No blisters on this sensitive skin either.Overall even with the straps breaking due to a missed crack in the silicone I'd Still buy another one. Way cheaper than the finis shooter and easier for a novice mermaid to use and has a quick release straps

The media could not be loaded.  I'm a 55 year old first time mermaid, and I chose Finis Luna Monofin, because of the YouTube reviews that praised it's comfort and because it fits larger shoe sizes. March 2019 I took my Finis Luna on vacation to Mexico/Riviera Maya, and the fin is rather large and heavy, but being made of flexible silicone, it packed easily in a large suit case under my clothes. Being the first time ever using any kind of monofin, I decided to stay in the resort pools for safty, but I may just try it out snorking when we go back in October. Though I'm older, I'm pretty lucky to still have good coordination and flexibility, and I found the mermaid/Aqua Man style of swimming easy enough to learn. As I've already said, this fin is rather large and heavy, but once in the water it feels almost weightless, and the tail's flexibility and large surface area made forward propulsion feel strong and easy.The Finis Luna Monofin and the green, blue, and yellow mermaid leggings I found also here on Amazon made swimming tons of fun!!!Details:I usually wear a US women's wide size 9.5-10 in shoes, and the fin fit great on the last strap hole, and was quite comfortabe. I was also extremely pleased, because I had no issues with my feet cramping, and I had no issues with rubbing, so no evil blisters... YEA! The Finis Luna monofin was a great experience, and I'll be taking it back to Mexico again in October 2019.

I have size 11 feet and the Luna fits nicely. It extremely comfortable and very pretty. Unfortunately with covid I haven't been abled to use it yet. Hopefully soon!

This is a great monofin! I got a Luna because as much as I love the Linden, I can only use it for about 20 minutes before my ankles start to hurt. I can use the Luna for as long as I want and I don't get foot or ankle cramps at all. The propulsion is good, certainly better than I was expecting, and I like the way it flows in the water. Unfortunately, there aren't any commercial skins available for the Luna specifically, but it was able to fit into my mertailor guppy skin without problems, just a little bit of wrinkling

I got the medium/large, and even with my small feet, this fits me just fine. I wear a 5 womens.The amount of detail and feel that this monofin has to offer is incredible! It fits in my finfun skins just fine and I have a guppy by mertailor on the way that is will fit into like a glove!

I wear a woman's size 7, and bought the child size as the adult size was unavailable at the time. It fits perfectly. Love how it looks and feels! Can't wait to get it in the water.

Here we go again. I love wearing these and they are so very comfortable but I am on my fourth pair now...and these too are becoming damaged after using them 1/2 dozen times. Don't know how as I handle them with kid gloves now. Wondering if all those 4 and 5 star reviews are people who try them a few times and then stop. As one unhappy reviewer said, maybe there is an issue with quality control. Perhaps it is a case of you get what you pay for and these are relatively cheap. Other silicone ones cost about three times as much but ????? Too much grief getting them and then having them self destruct. Each time the tear was in a different place. This time it is the strap tab!
