Darn Tough Vermont Women's Knee High Bouquet Light Cushion Hiking Socks

Excellent knee highs, but the product description says it's lightly cushioned. I wouldn't say the foot has any cushioning at all. It's a normal (though strong and warm wool) sock with no athletic cushioning in the foot. So, it's more like a winter dress sock. I prefer a long sock that has some cushioning in the foot, so it's not exactly what I was expecting. Other than that, it's a Darn Tough sock, so I can't complain. It will work well for commuting to work in winter, but I wouldn't use it for hiking. You could wear it under an XC or downhill ski boot if you like a thinner but not ultra-light sock.

This my fourth pair of Darn Tough socks. I love them all!! I know they're expensive, but when you think about the lifetime guarantee and the quality of the product, it's well worth it. I also bought the extra cushion socks (in a men's small) and They are amazing with my work boots. You will not be wasting your money. I wear them all the time and will be ordering more. Every time I have to put on my other knee socks, I'm not happy. I'm thinking if I order a pair a month, by next year, I'll be well stocked. They are everything the positive reviews state. You deserve these--get some.

I was nervous about purchasing a size small, even though I wear size 6.5-7 shoes because I do have a large calf. About 14.5" in circumference. But I loved the pattern too much, and I received birthday money that made me willing to give them a try. And I am very happy with my purchase! Wool seems to be the way to go for sweaty feet, and they weren't too tight on my calf at all. I'll give them a good wash and see how that affects the overall fit. I'm very happy with the look, feel, and life-time guarantee!

I ordered these because of reduced price, warranty, material content and "cushion". While they are true knee high socks and stay up, at least for first two wearings, I would not say there is any cushion. The material appears thinner at foot than leg and I am hoping they hold up well in the wash.

These socks are very durable. I wore them when visiting Oregon as well as here in Florida when we had cold weather and my feet stayed warm and dry. They stay up even when I'm active. They aren't quite as stretchy as some other socks I have but they seem very durable.

I purchased these socks because I needed a cushioned knee high sock, and already had a pair of Darn Tough Cushioned Knee Highs that I like very much. These socks have very little (if any) cushioning and the yarn is somewhat stiff and scratchy. I was very disappointed that they were not as soft or cushioned as my previous purchase.

I ordered a medium. I am a size 9- 9.5; I found them to be very slighlty too big for me. They were very cute and not too tight on the calf. I am returning them because I purchased this sock for hiking/backpacking, but there is no cushioning in the foot bed for hiking. I wouldn't use this sock for anything more than just casual use.

Very nice quality socks, but the calves were too tight. I wear a 7 1/2 shoe, have a narrow heel, size 14 pants.
