I use screw grab anytime I have a damage fastner as a professional mechanic . Other reviews are people expecting miracles. This is a gritty metal shaving type liquid that takes up the damaged space of a semi stripped/rounded fastener. This is not gunna work with something completely rounded out.

I was very skeptical for $12.00 and Amazons return policy what did I have to lose? Packaged arrived and it sat on my desk for three days cause I didn't want to be disappointed. Buddy was hanging out and decided to show him this stuff has he is a fabricator and mechanical engineer. Had to remove an AR308 Aero Precision Bolt Hold Open screw with stupid out head. Very difficult to do without damaging the receiver. placed Screw Grab on too and the first attempt didn't work. Wiped off excess and pushed some of the Screw Grab down into the hole. 2nd attempt you could feel the tool bond with the screw and I started to turn the 1/16" allen wrench. Little screw came out without a problem with no damage the receiver or the female threads.

This is..... Look..don't use this around any electrical circuits. This is just metal filings in a paste. It is messy and will just plain harm your devices if you don't get all of it clean. It is not like a glue and it does not firm up. It is literally ground up metal shavings in a goo. You do not want this stuff loose in your machines. Not only is it just plain dangerous...It doesn't work anyway unless the screw is just barely damaged. It will aid you in damaging that screw all the way and then polish the hole. Use it for woodworking only. It does make a decent scouring medium if you want to sand off some rust or something.

Applying Screw Grab to a small, allen bolt where the head had become rounded didn't help improve the grip when trying to get it out. So from my experience, it's not effective.

The package says satisfaction guaranteed. Well, I am not satisfied. Trying to find a way to get this small screw out of an electric toothbrush to access the battery has been way more effort than it's worth. I researched ways to remove a stripped screw, tried what I could with no success and thought I had finally found THE answer with this product. The package also claims to remove stripped screws of ALL styles. It appears it does not work on all sizes, however. I do not have a "regular" sized screw that is stripped to test it out but this experience suggests to me that they are likely overconfident in their apparently inaccurate claims.
