Pacon 004109 Cream Manila Drawing Paper, 50 lbs., 9 x 12, 500 Sheets/Pack

So, this is not high end paper i will say that right away. if you want to do really nice artwork i would sugguest other options. for practicing art and doing studies or for classrooms or kids, this paper is ideal. i do a LOT of sketching and studies and some sketchbooks or loose paper is quite expensive when i really just need throw away practice materiels, this stuff is cheap, theres lots of it "500 sheets" the weight is plenty good, the tooth is pretty mild, it's a very "dry" paper if that makes any sense, think construction paper. but its not really construction paper. it's most certaintly better then printer paper, atleast double the weight/durability and actually has some grain/tooth for art materiels. i've use pilot high tec pens on this paper, fountain pens, dip pens, white jelly rolls, they all work totally fine with this paper. Copics will bleed through a little bit on the other side but the bleed spread isnt very high. i havent noticed it bleeding into the paper underneath it yet but i seldom have more paper under a sheet anyway. Pencils work fine on it, i dont think it has enough tooth to get really nice shading, doesent grab the graphite off the pencil as nicely as say, sketchbook paper or standard drawing paper but its good enough for sketches and studies. Not particularly good for pastels of any sort, Conte is a exception. serviceable for charcoal but overall i would look elsewhere if thats your main intended medium. This will not take wet media very well at all, ive had some mild success with a super dry watercolor approach to just add a smidge of color to a drawing but anything more then that it will not like it. i have no tried it with colord pencils, or normal cheap office style biro pens. There's a little bit of a wavy uneven surface to it but thats to be expected for a cheap loose paper like this, its not very prominant. doesent really matter or effect it's use for me as a practice paper. The tone on it is really nice, it's not as dark as a strathmore but still takes white highlights really well i actually really appreciate the warm cream tone of it. Overall it's worth getting, its cheap, plentiful, works good for most stuff regarding art studies, definitly recommend.

I like this paper a lot, you can easily erae and draw on it and it definitely seems like it is meant to draw by the texture. I’ve used this with mechanical pencils and it comes out pretty well and I am happy with it. Paper does not rip easily unless you don’t storage it well. The paper is also nice and big so you can draw with direct ease. I would definitely suggest this if ylu do drawing often. I haven’t used markers or anything on ut besides pencils hut I’d definitely say it would come out nicely. Overall, very nice paper for drawing.

This is a great price for this, but it's important to know what you're getting. This is scratch paper to sketch out stuff so you don't waste higher quality paper. Also great for kids who go through papers very quickly. I'll definitely buy more when I run out, but there's so much I don't know when that will be!

I like this paper I’m very happy with it. It was a good price and a goodbye and I bought it for my daughter to use with my granddaughter for it to go in the classroom and that’s enough paper that it can be shared with the whole class.

Love the paper itself; I'd forgotten how enjoyable it was to scribble or take notes on this stuff! If you're not familiar with manila paper, it is not especially sturdy or designed for archival art, but it is inexpensive, fun to draw on or ink, is very comfortable to take notes on because it takes ink well and if you have more than one sheet on a clipboard has a slightly 'cushion-y' quality that is very comfortable. I took off one star for the packaging - honestly, I'd gladly pay a dollar or so more if they only inserted a piece of cardboard on top and underneath the stack to protect the edges. They don't, and the package I received had one corner and part of an edge dented and crumpled. This means I have to trim a considerable number of the sheets - about 1/4 of them - down to get rid of that corner or deal with that crumpled part. Otherwise, great for what it was intended for!

I bought this paper for my 2nd grade Sunday school class. Im so happy with the quality. surprisingly I couldn't find it in the normal stores. I was happy to find it on amazon. And with the 500 sheets it couldn't be more perfect for my needs. It also arrived incredibly neatly packed. So grateful. The kids love to grab empty sheets and draw what they want. Thank you amazon

Which is a great thing if you're looking for a medium/lightweight. This makes it ideal for lighter-weight pockets for junk journals or art journals. It also works for pocket hinges to allow more room in said pockets. It also takes nicely to distress inks, sprays, tea/coffee dying, and might even work for Koolaid dying since it already has a naturally vintage look anyway. It's also a great value since you get a ton of it (500 sheets) for under $10 and manila paper is a great value paper for crafters on a budget, even though it's mainly marketed for children. It's good for all ages!
