Why does this product have a prop 65 warning?

A SS pressure vessel is not at all needed. Prop 65 is literally plastered over anything and everything in CA. These RO systems have to pass many certifications and are legal under the uniform plumbing code, the CA plumbing code as well as the Los Angeles plumbing code. Leaching is not an issue. Signed, master plumber and water treatment expert.

Hi All, for the folks who have been using this system for a while , is there any concern for the tank being a source of bacterial contamination?

While there would be no chlorine down stream of the RO cartridge, the water in tank should be too low in nutrients/food for any significant bacterial growth

Do I need any parts to connect it to my fridge water dispenser (ice maker)? Im connecting it to the fridge only not the sink.

I have connected to both. Ice is not completely clear, but sediment does not settle out of the ice while melting in a clear glass of water! You might need parts. Don't know your water line size. Consider replacing your existing water filter on your ice maker while your doing this. I did not need parts.
