Easy Replacement
I already had one of these installed in my HVAC and love the healthy airflow. But my light burned out AND the circuit board inside the unit was fried. So I bought the completely new unit, simply slid out the entire old unit (3 sheet metal screws were easily removed) and inserted the new lamp unit. I saved the new supplied 24V converter. Works perfectly, has a LCD 730 day countdown, and a bright red pilot light that tells me the lamp inside is on. Cleans the air in our whole 3 bedroom home.

Easy to install, already working, loving this product
If you have some basic electrical experience and training, and a voltmeter, you should be able to install this yourself. Instructions were easy to follow and the color coding for the wires is labeled on the transformer. I purchased and used some additional foil tape. I didn't have a 3" metal hole saw and neither did the hardware store, so I purchased a 4" hole saw. I had the ducts cleaned last year, I drilled my hole in that panel, although that was the only place for it, lol. I live in a pretty dry area, so there is almost no H2O2 smell. There is ZERO O3 smell. The output I chose for the shroud is all the way open. I started out with it a 1/4 open but we didn't notice anything after 5 hours of running the fun. As I said before it is pretty dry where I live. The pet odor in the house, after two day's, is almost gone. We are all breathing a little better too. My dog has allergy's and her nose has almost stopped running. The furnace has been running as it normally would, the fan is no longer continuously running. There are some questions in the threads about installing with the furnace fan or allow to run continuously. The manual recommends to have it run continuously, it does say that you can configure to run with the furnace fan though, but if the unit cycles frequently that there could be problems. I chose the continuous run because, in the late spring, summer and early fall the cooling of the house causes the furnace to cycle on and off frequently. We were running small UV/electrostatic air cleaners throughout the house, those are turned off now so the electrical usage should be the same or less now. I just changed the furnace filters. I will take some pictures of the furnace filter after I change them in 90 days. With four pets the old one without electrostatic was pretty full. I am guessing they will be worse in the future now. So far I am really pleased. I was looking at much more expensive solutions. I am keeping my fingers crossed that the product will last and do the job.

Don’t buy! Ripped off in more than one way.
Bought one for my son’s home, per his request. Last one he had lasted 10 years and they were rarely sick. I bought him this unit on Amazon. He is a home inspector and knows how to install things properly. First unit broke in 3 days. Returned for replacement but they charged $28 for us to send their broken unit back and still waiting to see my refund show up. What’s wrong with this picture? If I could rate the unit and customer service -10, I would.

Works good install wasn't too difficult
Works well purchased 2. One for each HVAC unit in my home. Some skills required but not too complicated if you are handy to do yourself. Requires connection to the HVAC units power or installing a power supply which was included. I didn't use the transformer. The power to the units main boards was the same voltage these Halo units need and there was sufficient wattage available vs what it was powering to not overload. Noticed a small amount of ozone smell when the unit first kicks on but that is noted in the instructions. It smells lightly like peroxide. After a couple days you dont notice it. Been over 1 year still works. Recommended replacement for the UV bulbs is every 2 years I think.

Fantastic product, provided your expectations are realistic.
Fair warning: I work as an HVACR technician. I absolutely love this product. Had an older one that I had repaired that sold me on their technology. These things work. Extremely well. Almost completely remove cat/litter box odor. Removes dog odor. Removes the odor of what used to be dinner that I incinerated. I have also noticed less stuffy nose/itchy eyes during allergy season. Note I said less. It does not, nor can it, completely eliminate it. I've noticed less eye boogers(LOL) in the corners of my eyes in the morning. *****NOTE: I TAKE NO RESPONSIBILITY FOR YOU MESSING UP YOUR PURIFIER, AC SYSTEM, OR YOURSELF WHEN INSTALLING THIS. IF YOU'RE NOT COMFORTABLE WORKING ON THIS, HIRE SOMEONE.***** I find the install to be easy, but that may be due to being an HVAC technician. Simply mark the outline of the hole from the double sided foam gasket on the air duct, after your unit in the path to your home(supply side). Cut the hole out, stick the purifier in, sealing with the foam gasket. Seal on top with some form of duct tape. Disconnect power to the air handler at the circuit breaker. Connect the transformer to line voltage, and connect the low voltage to the plug for the purifier. Plug the purifier in, turn power back on to your air handler, and enjoy clean, mostly-odor-free air.
